Songs that you think will go well with Prologue whilst playing

Considering that FW 2.40 is out, I'm expecting PD to make use of the BG music from the in-game XMB. So, I was wondering what songs you think would go well with Prologue whilst playing.

For me, it's mainly this one.

In my opinion, techno songs would go well with Prologue, especially this one.
 
Usual racing or driving related music, or just general fast-paced music. Generally hard rock and heavy metal for me.

Such as:
Red Barchetta - Rush
Marathon - Rush
Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner - Iron Maiden
Be Quick or Be Dead - Iron Maiden
Freewheel Burning - Judas Priest
Smokin' - Boston
Magic Bus - The Who
Highway Star - Deep Purple
Speed King - Deep Purple
Radar Love - Golden Earring
Jumpin Jack Flash - Rolling Stones
etc etc
 
Metallica: Stone Cold Crazy (Queen cover), Whiplash
Motley Crue: Kickstart My Heart
Rage Against the Machine: Sleep Now in the Fire, Guerrilla Radio, Maggies Farm (Bob Dylan cover)
Soundgarden: Rusty Cage, Superunknown


This is just a short list of songs I'm not allowed to play while driving a real car-my right foot just hits the floor, and refuses to come up. Sure will be fun to hear them while driving and not break the law!
 
I don't like music when I'm racing, but the times I race with it I use my laptop.
Make a playlist, and go racing.
In-game music is more often than not complete crap.
And to few songs to satisfy everyone.
So my advise is make a playlist on your PC or stereo, then you get exactly what you want when you want it.
Anyone who's played NFS knows that the original soundtrack to games can be to dreadful to endure.

Actually, I'll pretty much be playing any Beatles song when I'm racing :D

I agree, but only on EA games and most driving games.
Games that have their own scores are nearly always appropriate and awesome, don't you remember the menu music from GT1?
The GTA series has always had a great selection of music for everyone and of course music games such as Rock Band have great music too.

But sort of off topic, we're talking here about making our own custom soundtracks anyway.....
 
I prefer not to listen to music when racing.

Whilst driving, nothing beats Noisex.

I'm like that too, I tend to drive as what the music playing makes me feel.
That's why I had a major crash 11 years ago while listening to Pantera... :rolleyes:
 
I would say Initial D Fourth Stage non stop megamix, always gets me hyped up! I even use it when i hit the track in rl!
 
I really like the music in GT3 and GT4, particularly the songs from Dakota Star, Feeder, Overseer, Grand Theft Audio and Curve. So, I would probably create a custom playlist with those songs in it, as well as some songs from the older NFS games (especially High Stakes\Road Challenge).

I like some of the songs that come with GT5P, however I have noticed only 1 song plays during a race and it just keeps repeating over and over, which is annoying in Arcade mode. :(
 
"Safe From Harm" by Massive Attack. From the album "Blue Lines". Hypnotic groove. Great driving song in real life.
 
I'd go for anything from Faithless, because I drive way faster when playing that in my own car. So, maybe that'll also work when racing with GT5p (without risking speeding tickets btw). :dopey:

My taste in music is extremeley varied, i listen to absolutley every time of music. But for GT electronc music (trance or D n B) wil get me in a nice flow.
 
I mean if GT5 has a Gumball Rally event then perfect, throw in some Joe Satriani or Dixie Dreggs or Uzeb. 👍

But in a 'real' race say at Sarthe or something, I can't listen to tunes and race. Well not very well anyway..:sly:

allmost any song or album from JAMIROQUAI would do fine...!!
