It's funny. Recently there have been alot of recals for power adaptors. My Dell PC had one, the XBox and now this. I'll be expecting a letter from Sony soon I suppose.

I got mine today.

For those wondering:

You get it in a very flat envelope. The picture-instructions ask you to stick a label over your address, put your old adapter in the envelope, secure it shut and post it.

I forgot all about the recall. I just checked my PSTwo, and it's not part of the recall. I wonder if all the PS2 adaptors are Korean? Mine was by company called Delta Electronics, also Korean(but this one rock. ).

The recall is only for adaptors made by a company called HIPRO.

Just looked at my adapter and it's a HIPRO, I had to go through this with my XBOX. Difference is, XBOX didn't want the original cords returned. I've had my PS2 on for 2 days straight with no issues, but the adaptor sometimes gets a litttle warm. I need to do this ASAP. btw, how much time did it take to receive the replacement?

I can't recall them wanting them. I never returned mine, of course, I didn't even have my XBOX, I sent it to my brother. He's using a Dreamcast cord instead.

I'm glad I still have my Dreamcast. I love how one can watch VCDs, or your own made VCD with homebrews. No mods needed to the system to play imports neither, just a boot CD. Greatness indeed. Underrated I agree. They'll release something that's a great idea then other companies (Sony?) just take that and make Sega look like a upcoming company . Anyone remember the Sega Saturn?

Hahahahaha. My kid brother's PSTwo is part of the recall. He's not very happy either. He got his last October, when PSTwo wasn't due out until November, anyway.
