I believe this is gt5 related though.

If memory serves, and it often doesn't, I believe it said, 8 am - 11 pm Eastern Daylight Time for today, so for North Americans on the east coast, basically all waking hours for most of us. And yes, it's a Sony/PSN thing, has nothing to do with GT5 in particular.

Interestingly enough, I just stuck the game disc in and was told there is an update. It is in the middle of downloading 2.06 even though it won't sign on to PSN...

You don't need PSN to download game updates.

I don't suppose that the login bonus counter or whatever it is could disregard today, could it? I'm going to lose my bonus, because for me, the new day for GT starts at midnight Central Time. That's an hour before the maintenance period is over, since it said PDT. And, since I haven't logged in since yesterday evening, I'll miss a day and go back to 100%. (First World Problems.)

Maybe I could set my time zone to Pacific and log in after 11 Pacific (1AM tonight). Or, it could be an hour later, because we're in Daylight Saving Time now. I know the PS3 makes a distinction, and every 6 months I have to manually change it from Standard Time to DST.

I have reset my motum as i am direct connected to my router, i have updated and turned off my ps3 and tried my moms ps3 (dont ask) and i still get it...

you drop 10% each day you fail to login. Missing a day for example can take you from 200% to 190% not back to 100. I know this for true, plus i don't have lots of time to play and am constantly hovering around 170 not 110
