Hello, everyone.
As most of you may know, we are about a month away from the most exciting 3 days of the year for gaming, around the world (taking place in Los Angeles, California, of course).
It is the time and place where developers, publishers, advertisers, gamers, techno-geeks, and (most importantly) the MEDIA all come together to display, witness, discuss, and speculate on many things revolving around the present, past, and future of technology, to the public and private.
Of course, probably the biggest and most exciting parts of the Expo would be the game developers/publishers conferences, where new technology for gaming and more importantly, new games themselves will be displayed, demonstrated, and discussed for all to see and drool at.
I'm sure most people are anticipating what new goodies will be shown at E3 from Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony, but I'm sure everyone here is more excited to see whats going to come from Sony's conference and (MOST IMPORTANTLY) what they will be showing in reference to Gran Turismo 5!
By now you're probably thinking "what does this have to do with GT5, or even Sony for that matter", which this would be the perfect time stay on the topic of the forum.
I was thinking to myself this morning about what E3 will bring, what arsenal Sony will show off, and GT5. At some point after reading forums about E3 and thinking about past discussions about GT5, an amazing thought popped into my head. 💡
With all the talk about GT5's latency, lack of information, along with HEAVY speculation, and Sony's new 3D movement, I just can't help but wonder what exactly they are planning to do this E3.
My thoughts are that GT5's dev-time was internally extended for more reasons other than adding content, fixing errors, improving on whats already finished, and other small details.
What do I think would be those reasons? HUGE marketing potential build up (HYPE) and GT5 in 3D (expanding the GT5 experience)!
I'm sure most could already guess that. Some people may or may not care about hype or 3D in games and simply "just want the game already", but I (personally) honestly think this is an extremely smart and ambitious move on levels far beyond just GT5, but certainly not excluding it. 👍
I personally am not sure if I will play GT5 in 3D for a while, but its still an experience that may be available for all to enjoy if they have the equipment for it.
Now I'm sure some of you are confused
why I took so long to just get to that point and I'm sure others have enjoied the read, but most important of all, I think EVERYONE wants to know what exactly is the main point of this thread. Well, I'll tell you EXACTLY why I made this thread...
Other than thread build-up.
I (without a doubt) honestly think that Sony will display most (if not all) of their conference in 3-FUDGE_TOPPED-D!
I am very excited to see if this will happen. I mean, everything thats been going on with Sony from their 3D movement, the annoucements of certain PS3 titles going 3D, the internal delay of GT5, and the potential of massive attention bate for Sony are just all too strong of a force in my head that spell this years Sony's E3 conference will be in 3D for everyone in the audience (which may suck for those of us away from the 3D goodness).
So what do you guys think?
