Sorry, but this car hacking / glitching is a gimmick.

Just went down to my local newsagent...

I think this post may also not be true and it is against the AUP. What do you think guys?
Do you need a consensus...

This is untrue and against the AUP.

AUP
You will not knowingly post any material that is false, misleading, or inaccurate.

I recognize it's an obvious joke though and I did lol 👍

No. It makes the game much more fun. Also, if you don't like them, set a HP restriction. BAM! No hybrids what so ever for the most part.

Can you tell me where is the fun part, does they handle any better on the green hell?
What is the certitude someone is not hacking hp as well?
What is the point of a driving sim. ?

For anyone concerned with racing against modded cars:

Civics regularly hover over 700PP, have absolutely terribad handling at high speeds and burn tires at such an incredibly high rate that they are nearly unusable in ANY racing situation without driving AIDS.

To effectively kill a very large portion of these cars, you must have a reasonable HP limit. If you see ANY irregular or uncommon cars showing up around higher parameters, you have at least one reason to give the boot. No driver concerned with winning will drive an R34 against 730PP racecars unless somethings up.

For the X1, they must operate with TC maxed out. Simply removing the option for driving aids alone will keep X1 drivers at bay.

Tire wear is also very effective for destroying cars with an obscene amount of HP, as is using a less grippy compound of tire.

PD is more than capable of sniffing out shoddy TT times.

^ yeah we know that,
What if someone decide to tweak it slightly above PP limit?
The problem is when you start to install a doubt inside peoples mind, death follows soon after.

The fun is seeing that speedometer reach unreal speeds. I can tell it's a sim which makes it so funny. Also its a challenge to drive on the green hell, but I got the NSX to do a clean lap. Quite fun, now I'm going to try the SpecV.

I'm a fan of the realistic horsepower numbers.

Does anyone in the GT community know what realistic horsepower numbers are any more, or realistic numbers in all? Some do run the cars a close to their real world counterpart but that's a small few. I don't see this going away until there is a major match and the power limiter going away. Yes you can set a hp limit or a pp though they'll find away around that. If this person or persons found how to do this they find out how to beat the evolution.

If a car is close enough to an initial PP limit then there's very little that the car can improve on. I can only see this being a small problem in anything higher than, say, 600PP or on the SSRX tracks, and even then the improvements made would have to be clever as so no one would suspect anything.

How the hell does the power limiter have anything to do with this?

It's a gimmick, and I hope more people get bored and realise how silly it really is. And legally quite dangerous for them.

Some think it is really fun. And some people want realistic race/drift cars. For example some have been requesting around 1000HP S13s ect. That are like real life FD (Formula Drift). Which is the reason i hate formula drift. It is becoming like Nascar to the point where everyone has to run a huge amount of HP to keep up to the lead car while drifting. But some of them are fun. But cheating yes.

As far as them being illegal. Yes and yes. What is going on is against Sony's and PD's terms of service. Honestly if PD or Sony starts cracking down on people if you are caught making them I wouldn't be surprised if they ban you. But i am not sure about just having one because someone sent you one would get you banned.

But either way. People are going to do what they are going to do.

Also something many want has been done. Some people have cars with drive train swaps. I have seen a RWD Integra DC5. Looked crazy drifting too.

Hybrids are good for fun and to achieve realistic power levels that we are unable with GT5 upgrades. Like 1200hp Supras, GTRs, etc...

Using 30.000hp cars is kinda stupid IMHO, I tried and they are useless... keeping it real its very, very, VERY fun.

And I bet that serious drivers wouldn't use them for racing unless its a 1000hp racing league or anything like that.

It'll remain the same, its always hard to find a good and serious racing. With or without hybrids.

It seems to me that most people think that hybrids are used for the sake of winning, yet they don't think about how it can make a tedious game fun. In any case, using hybrids OFFLINE can only help improve the game.

It makes no sense for one to have to grind as much as you have to in GT5 just to buy a few cars and enter a few races.

Seriously, what is the big fuss about these cars? What honest use do you have for a gazillion horsepower Red Bull? I've tried that and seen the Civics, seen GTR's, Zonda's, and it's a little boring after a few minutes.

If your basically going to hack and cheat the game, why play it? I fail to see the full entertainment value in going 700mph at SSRX really.

Probably going to get a ton of hate for saying that, but i'm sure i'm not alone in thinking this.

Furi.

Plain and simple really: it's fun(ny).

You probably wouldn't waste a Veyron engine in some economy car, so why not mod a game? Peugeot probably isn't going to test a Prius engine in their 908, so why not try it in a game?

It's mostly for entertainment than to cheat. Though there are those people who use them to cheat, sadly.

Although the hyper-hacked cars are very unrealistic (albeit fun) a lot of other hacked cars are coming out that have realistic hp figures and drivetrain alterations. Now correct me if I'm wrong, but when GT5 came out a lot of people complained about the lack of drivetrain and engine swaps compared to Forza. Well now, they're possible.

They complained when you couldn't swap engines/drivetrains.

They complain when you can swap them.

Will you guys ever be happy?

Except it's NOT drivetrain swapping.

Correct me if I am wrong, but it's merely boosting the powerplant of an existing car. This isn't putting liek putting a super tuned Viper engine in a Civic - this is boosting a Civic engine to Viper levels.

Turning up the performance of a car is NOT drivetrain swapping or engine swapping.

Both can and have been done. There is a S13 Silvia with an RB26DET from the R34 GT-R. And a RWD Integra Type R DC5

How do you know it's that exact powerplant?

I don't fully "know" as I didn't make it, or have the knowledge to look in my save file and check myself.

But the guy who made it said he used that engine,
It has the same Tachometer as the R34.

There are other engine swaped cars too as well cars with just "boosted" power levels and some combined of both an engine swap and power boost

There is a Peugot 307 CC with the engine from the Mazda 787b race car, very distinct sound, "boosted" up to silly numbers over 3500hp

I haven't actually driven one of the engine swapped cars, but why would it be any harder to identify what type of engine a hybrid car has than it was in the GT3 days? It doesn't tell you the cylinder arrangement in GT5, but it does tell you the displacement.

I have never done any hacking in the GT3 days, so I don't know much about that.

I doubt this will be an issue for GT Academy if they run it in the exact same way they ran it before and make the cars provided and not from one's own garage. Either way, they won't really be doing much of anything because if they need a glitched car to run the best on an online leaderboard for a video game, they probably won't be ready to run an actual race car. Its merely for fun and I'd doubt I'd run into any of these hybrid cars because I never go into public lobbies.

Aren't these 50,000 hp cars the product of some multiplier? If you can multiply engines, why not carbon driveshafts and other drivetrain upgrades that improve performance but don't affect PP? You could enter any PP or HP/Weight limited room and no one would know. If the possibility is there, someone will do it.

Easier way to do that is to make car settings unmodifiable.
