"Tuning Prohibited" option perhaps required.
If a cars HP was hacked but no parts were added, surely the game would allow it into a tuning prohibited room? The hacked HP isn't a tuning part, it's code?

Aren't these 50,000 hp cars the product of some multiplier? If you can multiply engines, why not carbon driveshafts and other drivetrain upgrades that improve performance but don't affect PP? You could enter any PP or HP/Weight limited room and no one would know. If the possibility is there, someone will do it.
Unless they changed how it was for GT2, GT3, GT4 and(I'm pretty sure)GTPSP, it's a parameter modifier that is represented by a specific part category on a car, where the part is either equipped or not.
Like you said, it's not using 66 engines, nor would it be using 66 driveshafts.Because you don't multiply the engines. The X1 with 100,000 HP doesn't have 66 engines in it. It has one engine with the power multiplied by 66 using the power multiplier that the game already has built in to the car settings data, presumably one that works (but I'm not positive because I haven't actually hacked a car in GT5) just like the one GT3 had in its car settings. And:
You can't keep adding carbon driveshafts because the game only allows for one to be installed.

See what I did there?
SimonKI'm just glad PD are keeping us up to date on their stance with these hybrids and what they're planning to do about it, it's good that they always stay in touch with the fanbase so we know what they're doing.
Oh wait....
Where are they doing that at?
SimonKSame place having a blowout sale on sarcasm detectors.
MeanElfWe should all be used to PD's communication style by now. They'll step in and it'll be gone, or not.
I should imagine the longest part in preparing to do that will be the Sony PR execs deciding exactly what to do about those accounts that have these cars: temp-ban, as a warning or straight to permanent ban.

I cant wait to see all of the Help Ive been banned from PSN threads popping up in the GT5 Questions & Answers forum and the Gran Turismo 5 forum.
But we probably wont see them there for very long because the trustworthy Moderators will promptly move them to the Console & PC Gaming forum where they belong.
The Moderators around here like things to be in their proper place, unless of course it is a thread abut hybrid cars. They can be started anywhere and the trusty Moderators dont care.
I've had quite enough of your backtalk concerning the staff here. Quite frankly, if you don't like that things aren't moving upon your every whim you're free to leave by clicking the "Sign Out" button next to your name in the yellow CP window.
I just think that if the 3000hp honda thread had been moved to the Hybriding forum right away there would not be this huge out of control feeding frenzy that we have now.
I host a room every night – these hackers are learning more and more about the game save data every day. It is only a matter of time until they spill into my world and ruin online racing.
I doubt that, as far as gtp members wanting these cars goes. It's not hard to find the hybriding forum and everytime someone brought it up in the gt5 section, a friendly helping member would have steered them to the right place.
Not to mention gtp does not house the majority of gt5 players.
They are not learning it on gtp though, google is extreeeeemly easy to use, I found out all I needed to know about how to etc. in maybe 20 minutes.(none of it from gtp 👍 )
you are probably right. maybe I am a little OCD but the threads are still in the wrong forums though.
