Sound problem...

Hi all

This problem is pretty specific but I'm wondering if someone may know the problem.

During cutscenes in any game after about 20 seconds or so the sound cuts out, and happens every 20 seconds or so after that. It's kinda a weird thing to happen because during actual gameplay it doesn't happen at all. It doesn't happen during movies or videos either.

Does anyone know what may be causing this?

Are you running the games at max (or close to max) volume? Some systems tend to put in an auto-mute for noisy, monotone sounds. It may so happen that there's a background noise that is monotone (rain, any kind of humming) that the system interprets as noise and may be muting it.

At least that's what used to happen to me.
