Sound Question

Hi, I'm currently thinking about buying a Buttkicker shaker to heighten my sim experience, but I've come across a problem.

I have an HDMI cable running from my computer, to my TV, and then an ARC HDMI cable going from the TV to the sound system.

Now the problem is that my sound system is a Panasonic SA-BTT490, which uses proprietary speaker outputs. So I can't just run a splitter cable (For the Buttkicker.) from the sub output because it doesn't have a regular output.

I was thinking that I could just run the Buttkicker from the sub output on the computer itself, but it seems that it won't output sound to two sources. (The HDMI out, and the sub out.)

My question is this, is there any way to be able to hook up a Buttkicker to my current setup? Preferably from the sound system so I can have it work for the Xbox, but even if there was some way to use coming from the computer, then that would be ok.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Looks like you need something like that.

I don't have a buttkicker, but on their site, 2nd link they show an option for speaker wire installation.

Is this the back of your stereo?

I would think you could use that proprietary speaker connection (have a panasonic that has same things), and using your existing sub cable that came with the stereo splice in that adapter you can get for the butt-kicker, and would think it would work.

Once again I don't have a butt-kicker, so someone else with experience might have a better way.

That would be a perfect solution, but unfortunately there is no bare wire in the sub connection. The wiring goes straight into the sub, you can't remove it.

Yeah.

If I was to remove some of the plastic and then splice it in, would that work?

And thanks for the response.
