To be {forced} to drive around a track for 24hrs. 24hr? for what An Audi R8 , A Bentley Speed 8 ?come on. Yeah, well ok. They look fire, but this is a game. Now I'll let my B mode driver drive and crash into a ditch because he was out partying from winning the other 8hr and etc. races.

whos having the fun when your driving around the same track for 24 hours. you or the game. or its probably the people who made the game.

You get a 1.0-1.2 million credits per race but seriously you can BUY the Audi. The Bentley isn't a bad ride either. However, I think the reason it feels like a waste of time is because you already know what you're gonna win before you even begin.

Anyway, you're not forced to do the 24h races. If you want 100%, then I guess you do, but getting 100% shouldn't be easy in the first place. GT4 has it right. If you complete GT4 without cheating, you get bragging rights, and respect. You get 100% in some other game, and well, you get 100%, and the game collects dust, and it gets traded in at Gamestop.

Also, if you can't get B-spec to work, do it A-spec. Not in one sitting, but an hour or two at a time. When you complete it, you'll have a sense of accomplishment. Don't want to do it? Then do somethign else.

I agree, the 24h races are dumb, there should be a save feature when you go into the pits. But skip it if you don't like it.
 
well IMO FORZA is a beter game and its alot more fun and more challenging playing online, also GT4's AI sucks.
 
I like the motor swaps in forza, i wish i had an x box. Driving an rb26dett s14 is just awesome...or a 2jzgte is300. How much does an xbox go for these days?
 
What would make the 24 hour races interesting is if you could save your progress, and then have a field of 30 cars with different classes or whatever they actually run. A random change of weather would make it interesting, along with random mechanical failures that require extended pit stops.

Is this sounding too much like a wish list? I haven't opened the endurance races yet. Do they at least have a change from day to night?

Like you, I don't understand how someone would actually drive through this.
 
I guess it come down to what I like about the game. truley all I like is the realizim and the cars. I like watching the car go around the tracks and watching the suspension work and looking at the car take curves. Its not exactly the racing that gets me going. Thats probably why i dont care for the 24 hr races.

I do them to get more rides.


What I would love to see is in the Tuner gt area. a way to put aftermarket stuff on my car. I looked and saw a Celica that looked like it was street tuned and I felt like {why cant we street tune other cars. custom paints ad stuff. But then it it woulnt be gt

I just bought a used Crystal XBox for £70 (usually ~£100) and got a copy of Forza for £10. That's about U$135, give or take a dollar.

I am - Especially Nürburgring... Too bad I haven't had as much time for it as I'd like..

Each to his own and all I guess....
 
Isnt it also a waste of our time when we play video games??
its justs a game. Speaking for myself I would feel pretty good if i finished the race in Aspec mode, but Im probably going to race it in Bspec. By the way Im new here

Nobody is forcing you to finish the 24-hour races in A-spec or B-spec. If you want to sit and race them, pausing every so often, fine. If you want to B-spec them, nobody's going to call you names.

As for me, I've B-speced all the races/enduros that took more than 2 hours, and the Formula GT series. A B-speced a few other races, but went back later to A-spec them.

Good for me.

I asked the same thing. At the moment My B spec driver is 20hrs into Nürburgring and I was attemping to remember to check to see if it got darker but when I checked a sec ago I figure that 20hrs is becoming daylight again.


Ill check the next 24 hr race.

I personaly have wanted to race 24h straight since i was a little kid and heard a legend that some guy did it back in the day. at present physical limitaions requires me to change drivers, but one day i will do it with out help.
When that happens I won't look at it as fun, but as an accomplishment....

then i'll turn around and do it again with 24h of clean laps
 
I prefer to think that everything I do is a waste of time except the A-Spec enduros in GT4. I've got the 'Ring 24h paused at home right now! 👍

I didnt ask the question of day and night to anyone I just thought about it. So why search for something Im not asking about. Thats why I wrote

Sure the Search is nice to use if I want to find out, but It wasnt that important. It really didnt matter, I just want to get a car and 100%. Oh and by the way. I got a GT Formula car and not the Bently or Audi I was expecting.
