Wow, great session tonight guys, really pulling some nice drifts there 👍
 
@Dav...that thing is like a ****in go kart you can drive it at 110% pretty much whole lap lol....my tune 2nd run just got 7:49.504 :crazy:

No driving aid's (all off) started in the dark was light by about mid track..

full damage real grip full penalty etc etc...

will make vid and upload bit later ;)
also couple new vid's(or quite old actually lol) on my channel not all GT5 ;)
 
@ Kris, yer the thing just turns, that's why I thought it may be good for one of your future challenges, and yes there is something I'm after, but have to come second in your challenge, lol

Props to accendo, tandem session was real good today

powers been out. some ****head decided to hit a powerpole. pushed it on its side. must have hit it hard...

Comp = SS / Southern Sliderz Only
** You must be SS, name must be in the members list on the first post contact one of the SS-Mods (only members joined before 30th of Januaray allowed)**

Comp = SS / Southern Sliderz Only
Car = R33 GTR (Prem only)
Class = All Mods + Any Tuning + Any Tyres Allowed
Track = 1 Lounge Lap of Nordschleife in GT-R - Fastest Time Wins
(1xLap + 1xRestart allowed - each will run a race on own to get time)

Restrictions

Driving Line = Allowed
Traction Control = Not Allowed
Skid Recovery = Not Allowed
Active Steering = Not Allowed
Active Stability Man = Not Allowed

Prizes

1st - GT Academy R35 GT-R (0km's) Black
2nd - GT Academy 370z (0km's) Yellow
3rd - Jaguar XJ13 (0km's) Chromeline

Special Awards

The Cunning Stunt = Pull a particularly tight/dodgy/impressive move whilst not destroying your car

Prize = Your Choice of Historic Race Car (I'e the 3x 20Mil ones)

Sub Atomic Lap = Under 6:45 is it possible? Yes it is Dave's cracked it!

Prize = Your Choice of Premium Le Man's Car (I'e 787B, R10, 908 FAP)



Depending on interest I'll run it @ 10-10:30pm on the 11h of Feb (friday altho will update closer too event if enough interest)

I reckon we should do a Suzuki GSX-r 4 Concept challenge. Capable of sub 7 lap time at the nurb. Only 283hp @10900rpm with a nice weight of 588kg. It has insane ammounts of grip and takes a little fancy control work to keep a clean lap. My best is 7:00.521 and it is riddled with mistakes.

Edit: Just pulled a 6:55.932 in the suzuki. My best in the R33 is 6:55.823...... hmmm........ not bad for a car with a third the weight and a quater the power...

ié not being a light go kart that you can drive flat out...

ié Dav's s2000 great fun to drive (and thanks man love the car tbh) but no challenge second lap matched time...

with full damage on not going to happen in a R33/35 etc etc more of a challenge...that's why it took me a couple of days and god know's how many restart's to pull that new r35 lap...it's the first time i have made it around the whole track LOL...

But its also interesting to see who has the guts to push just that little bit more. The light weight also means the jumping points are also worse and all the bumps and kerbs just throw you around all over the place.

haha yes it does, softer suspension higher downforce = done... 👍

and yes it is ****ishly hot...not a fan..at all, may go sleep in the car with the air con on ha 💡

the old x2010 grinder is down to 1330hp...oh the shame...

@ kris, yer I understand about the challenge, the lighter the car and less power will make it less offs, but it will also mean everyone hopefully has closer laps, another idea maybe a supergt car, also, if possible can I run on the nurb with r33 on next Thursday due to work, or any other time it suits you

And nismo once I finish work today I'm going to hit up nurb with the gsx4

Ok guys, so after a bit of drama and a bucket load of PM's the date is finally locked in for our freindly meet with D-Trick.

Time will be ~9pm AEST Sunday 13th Feb 2011

lol, most of those flash and java games are blocked, but we can easily get past it with a proxy.

some of you guys need to jump on gt5 earlier! being 2 hours ahead sucks sometimes. :indiff:

iPhones work quiet well... I was however lucky enough to get a TV with USB recording (without even knowing it). Plug in a flash drive and BAM! HD video. If i were you and i didn't yet have a HD tv, i would be sure to get one with this feature, as it is simply brilliant 👍

Good stuff Dave, We'll start off with some drifting together/ mucking around then maybe have a small comp - nothing serious so it should be a lot of fun:tup:

Yea some of the guys have talent so im interested to see if we're in the same league

@ everyone were only going to need six guys on the night, so let me know if you can make the time asap.

If its raining ill definately be on haha.
Ive had a few issues with hosting, mainly people not being able to connect to my room.

Last night I had an open room up with a few guys and it seemed to be pretty smooth
