We need 4 drifters & 2 backup.

Trials will be held onHow it will work: Basic elimination style. 2 guys on the track at a time, 2 laps.

Lap 1 - Player 1 Leads
Lap 2 - Player 2 Leads

12 spaces only so get in fast.

Just did my quali for the H2H. F'd up the first turn both times, then coming out of 5 in the transition to 6, dipped both back wheels onto the dirt. eh well. better luck next time aye.

as friday night is a comp night if someone has problems getting into a room they will have to inform us immeadiatly(spell check lol) so we can run the 2 guys in another room i think psn msg would be great as we wont have to constantly keep checking forum if somone dosnt show and dosnt notify us example they are not online there battle mate should just advance

I personally think that we shouldnt be to harsh on the judging that we should just look for consitancy and tandem skills

would also be good to hear what other members think đź‘Ť

Did you spin because apparently the new rules state that if you spin you couldve had a re run đź‘Ž
 
Nah MONSTAR said that if I spin, no rerun. I did spin on the second run at the first corner. Too much power too early. Eh I dont mind. Just gonna practise for this team challenge and the next H2H tandem comp.

The only concern I have with the current arrangement is that if 2 members that are good battle eachother, 1 will be knocked out. Instead I think it will help if a score is given to each driver by one of the team leaders. Still keep the concept of the battle though. not 2 sure how to explain it

like if you or i were to battle we drive together all the time and are very good at staying together or Accendo and you point system sounds pretty cool

So maybe 2 people battle over 2 runs 1 turn each leading, each run is scored then the average score is found then the top 6 average scores represent the team maybe?
 
Sounds good, another question, how will someone who first make it in the team be able to represent the team in battles, ie would they have to battle someone in the current team??

Sorry bout all the questions, just think they're needed for this to work.

There currently is no battle team so top 6 people get in.
4 drivers 2 backup drivers
 
lolwut is my thoughts exactly. I'm leaning towards the point system though, elimination is a bit unfair if two evenly good drifters get paired up.
 
heres a vid of my H2H run unfortunatly i ran a bit too wide and dropped a tyre on the second last corner

Yerr, just say I don't make the team, how will I be able to make it in future weeks. That's why I thought maybe battle people in the team for their spot

@dave well we cant change the team through H2H so i guess we have to finish that and start the process again
 
Yeah, that's probably the big downside in the H2H.
 
Any openings? Sometimes I don't get the chance to get on but I'd like to be part of a team.

I mainly use a 370Z or a Jag XK-R, but if I'm in the mood, I'll give my GT-R and Evo a run. I don't drift AWD ALL THE TIME, but sometimes if I'm bored I'll take a crack.
 
Yea so points system sounds like the way to go. May be a little difficult to keep consistent scoring with a few different judged but we'll figure that out when we get to it.

Once we've got our team locked it stays the same for the entire tournament yea?

@drifta - some nice lines in the first few corners!! love the sound of the rotor!

Hey Ben... I know i'm a bit of a hated man around the drift forum right about now, from all this judging BS in the single H2H, but everyone seems to be happy with the scoring that is now being used. It could do with some refining but it is a good system

Oooohhh and what track are we going to use??

FIRDAY NIGHT COMP

18th Feb - ~9pm

Track: Suzuka East
Car: FR, Comfort Hards

How it will work:

- 2 drivers battle over 2 runs, 1 turn each leading.
- Each run is scored, then the average of the 2 scores is calculated.
- Top 6 average scores represent the team in the H2H Team battle

Judging

Senior members of the team will be judging on the night.
Judging will be focused on the techniques required for the team battle - TANDEM SKILLS, ablitlity to follow a range of drivers, smooth lines, no contact, CONSISTENCY
