FIRDAY NIGHT COMP

18th Feb - ~9pm

Track: Suzuka East
Car: FR, Comfort Hards

How it will work:

- 2 drivers battle over 2 runs, 1 turn each leading.
- Each run is scored, then the average of the 2 scores is calculated.
- Top 6 average scores represent the team in the H2H Team battle

Judging

Senior members of the team will be judging on the night.
Judging will be focused on the techniques required for the team battle - TANDEM SKILLS, ablitlity to follow a range of drivers, smooth lines, no contact, CONSISTENCY

OK Kris needs to finnished the race someone started with him in the room last night... cause well its still going and no one can drift in his room. Dave an i would of done our drifting last night but couldn't seen as he could not connect to my lounge.

haha better servers? my lounge was still up last night 3+ days hence why no R33 prize cars sent yet btw, looking fwd to tonight

maybe a better router / cfg would help just upgrading my router the other week connection has gone from 6.8m down 500k up to 17mb down 1017k up!!

Hot tip Netgear DGN2200 supports IP fragments, best residential router ive had in years...I go through a few hehe

Easy config + bloody good unit can also share a usb drive direct into router and is wireless n... i can walk halfway up my street and stay on my wi fry on the iphone

If you are having online issues with GT5 do a connection test and see if you get Ip fragments unsupported if so I advise biting the bullet and getting on of these, upnp works and is plug and play with nat 2

must be bugged as last time i checked was 20sec race finish delay hence this shouldn't happen still after 2.5 days of solid lounge it's pretty impressive imo

Did you have judges organised? I dont want this dragging out too long as we need the H2H team sorted asap. Let me know if you're both avaliable for saturday afternoon?
 
I finish work at 8 tomorrow and I can be home by 9ish if you are available then beast
 
got some bad news for tomorrow night. my mums having a bbq with a heap of her friends. and im the cook. so looks like im out untill later that night i guess. not sure what time ill be on.

i have no idea how to do setting on my router. and i just bought a new one as my old one wouldn't let me log onto the gt5 server at all.
 
If it falls through what bout Sunday?
 
well just did a connection test and got UPnP avaliable, nat type 2 and Down 6.2 and up 282.3

i am getting a new modem today at some time as i just joined up with BIGPond so that might help a lil bit.

I could try and judge but it depends on what time, I gotta play golf in the morning and I won't finish until about 2 or 3.
 
Bad news guys. Thanks to a down time of 2 days while im changed to big pond. My internet will not be connect most likely till monday. Its my fault. Should of done it sooner. I think ill have to gift dave a few things when im back up on the net.

If so that may be a problem, i will be on 9PM Brisbane time.
 
Yea we still have daylight saving (I think. Can never keep track anymore) but I should be ready at about 6-8pm sydney time.

Update is stunning. Might drop by later, if i'm not busy with all these new little things to play with 👍 PD, you have relit my GT Fire!
 
Kept hearing positive feedback on the update, whats changed?
 
Ballast can now be used, Power limiter can now be used, Cambered corners in Custom courses, power points. anything i missed?

Oh how on earth did I forget the big one- FULLY customizable gear ratios. and steering response adjustment.

edit : yep new modem kicks arse 301mb update 3 mins to d/l.....lovely
 
Im in Melbourne so how many hours until the in house comp?

FYI: if you drop the power limiter, it also brings the max power on earlier and holds it for longer. Just a handy hint for everyone.
