WHen will it be for 2011? All I know is that it willbe sometime in July, and that in the 6th, some practices and tests were conducted by the teams.

This is one 24 hour race I don't wanna miss out, since it will mark the glorious return of McLaren in 24 hour competitions!! And in the hopes they will defeat the Porsche goons. :dopey:

You are all most gracious posters. With the whole thing being Flemish, finding out the date was becoming a hopeless task.

Thanks guys, and may McLaren win!!!!! Hehe.

Is anybody going? I might just go, maybe we can meet?

Had planned 30th, but again the wife planned a BBQ.

So will be 31st, Marco would be good to see a colleague again.

on the link I clicked it was no Flemish, but for someone from Guatemala it might be close enough.

I asked their FB page which surprisingly has been correct with most questions I've asked...

Bloomberg has the rights to the FIA GT series in the US.

The Spa 24 isn't part of the FIA GT schedule, what Bloomberg shows is the GT1 and presumably a little bit of the GT3? The Spa 24 isn't officially part of any series as far as I know. It used to be a touring car race, nowadays its a GT race. It has been part of European GT cups in the past but its not always been part of a championship or series.

Edit: I've done some digging and its officially part of the Blancpain Endurance Series (a new series for 2011 which replaces the old-style FIA GT, in other words proper endurance races instead of the current sprint-style that GT1 now is):

Funny, I'm used to "Blancpain" (watches) but my mind always read that word with a french accent, and although it was funny to sound similar to "white bread" I never thought much about it.

But now I read "Blancpain" in an environment where my head is used to read words in English, and I suddenly read "Pain" not as "Bread" but as "the feeling you have when you get hurt".

Brain tricks :D

Mclaren???

I was surprised myself when news of McLaren Cars returning to other racing disciplines other than Formula 1 was made known to me.

CRS Racing is a good team choice to take the MP4-12C's to glory, maybe not consistent winners, but at least they forge good drivers and will give other teams a run for their money.

That wasn't Flemish? Oh, my bad. Being a Spanish speaker, the language did have familiar tones and words, definately of Latin tint, but still outside my scope of understandibility, so I have no idea what language it is.
