In Arcade mode time trial, what is your quickest (clean) lap time around this incredible circuit? (Dry weather) No cheating, (glitching, shortcuts or any such nonsense) serious racers only.

Post your settings used, whether you're a DS3 or Wheel user & replay evidence. (If you can't post a replay, email me the replay file and I'll verify the time) :)

I think a better way to start is by posting your time, your set up and your replay video.

I'm looking to attempt it soon, I don't mind who kick-starts this...if you think you've done a quick lap, post it and let the rivalry begin! :)
 
off the top of my head, i remember doing a 1:16.xxx in race with Racing hards. Im sure thats very beatable. Using a DFGT wheel.
 
Somewhere around 1:30 with Sports Soft and a DS3. Will try again

ABS: 1
Controller Sensitivity: 7
 
If I could get the DLC I'd be in on this. I can however say that my fastest time I've done with the X2010 is a 1:10.5. I'm predicting someone with the X2011 will get it down into the 1:09s.
 
I got a 1:14.4 online with X2010, don't know if that counts. :s
 
Yes I can well believe it! There are some insanely quick drivers on here. Use my lap time as a warm up! lol :)

I've setup a leaderboard in the original post. Hopefully we'll see some great times.

Remember replay evidence is a must, it's the only way to verify the times. (You can email the replay file, i'll verify the time then post you on the leaderboard).
 
I'll take video of an online practice run. May be able to push out a 1:08.0XX on my Proto X2010 again if I try.
 
Don't you think you should've waited till the 25th to create this thread?

kind of unfair giving everyone outside of N.A a headstart.
 
A head-start to what? There isn't a closing date to the time trial, it's just a record of the fastest drivers on the circuit.
 
I logged a 1:25.xxx in a 2010 during an online race with traffic. I ran clean, but it was my first lap in an X2010. I used a DS3. When the DLC goes live for me next week, I'll run it in a 2011 using the DFGT. Settings were stock with racing softs. That first turn after the pits is brutal. I love the uphill section. Holding the line on the downhill section is a blast. The rest of the course is Sarthe like to me. Looking forward to watching the times drop.
 
1.12.468 after 16 laps with a stick controller. Half a second can be found with my relatively un-tampered setup. Great fun to drive btw. (Downforce: Max; Top Speed: 261)

I kept puching more and more through the entry of all the corners. You need the highest downforce as I started with mid downforce and kept upping it and found my entry speeds increasing. I could go faster; I messed up the last chicane a lot (I eventually found that you can use the end of the shadow on the racing line as a braking point). Half a second can be found. I reckon someone can get a 1.10 or faster if the suspension settings are tweaked.
 
I took the second s chicane (after the first long straight) in 6th gear eventually. Spa is definately challenging trying to ride the perfect line but once you're on it, time slows a little; I could hold the line consistently after around 10 laps. I have driven the track before with f1 champioship 2006, mind.

Yes, i'm just discovering this also...went round in 1.13.923...alot can be gained with max downforce & as you say the correct suspension settings. I'll update the leaderboard. Any chance of a replay? Although I don't doubt your time, it'll be open to criticism otherwise.
 
Was messing around online with an X2010 (I know, you want X2011) and pulled a 1:07:xxx. I will try to get another good score with a screenshot. That was with DS3.

Yes buddy, X2011 only and in Arcade Mode. I appreciate north America are still yet to receive the DLC & online is the only way to practice the circuit but lap times can only be submitted in Arcade Mode, Time Trial session with replay evidence. (In form of youtube link or actual replay file sent to me for verification).
 
1:11.536, I still need to lower the gear ratios a bit more and the first corner of this lap was quite bad. I reckon I can get into the 1:10's but that's about it.

Thanks for checking my replay. As you know I currently have a faster time but I can easily improve it so I won't be posting it. At the moment I'm using max downforce and top speed set to 267 mph, I've tried 261 as top speed but I hit the limiter too early.

No probs. Great to see the first wheel post! :) I'll post you on the leaderboard but could you get the replay file over to me mate so I can verify the time 100% (by email or filesharing site or by yourself through video recording posted here via YouTube or similar video upload site)
 
T minus 45 minutes for DLC for those of us in NA. I'm looking forward breaking out my DFGT again and working my way up the leader board.

My best effort so far is a 1:18.23 with a DFGT. Not worth posting a video. I'm running pretty much stock with the trans set to 304 mph. I know I'm losing a second or two on the last turn. I might get a few seconds by tuning, but that 1:08 time looks out of reach for me.

I went round in exactly the same time but found time at different places and lost time at other places. I did a 1.12.468.
At the second S chicane I went through in 7th gear.

My zip file is 2.02mb, 0.02 too much for an upload; i guess i'll have to do it again or I could email it to you?
