Spanish Question

Anybody fluent in Spanish know how to say "Cross Country" (as in, long-distance running) in Spanish? I've only been able to find the phrase as an adjective and adverb, not as the sport itself.

And while we're at it, is there a specific way to say "email" in Spanish, or is it just kept like that?

"Email" is the only way to say email in Spanish and I think País Cruzado is Cross Country.

That's a literal translation of it. I'm not quite sure of the actual phrase but teachers(I assume this is school work) like it if you can describe what you are talking about if you do not know what it means.

Hrm, doesn't seem right to me… Cruzado means "crossed" (well, that might be right, since it's an adjective, but it still sounds weird), and País is a literal country, as in one defined by political boundaries. The "country" in cross country refers to terrestrial country, so, yeah.

I believe "campo traviesa" is what you're looking for, Sage.

Usually the prepositions "a" or "de" are added when the term is used in a sentence:

"Es una carrera a campo traviesa."
"Es una carrera de campo traviesa."

The correct form spoken in Spain is this:

Cross Country = campo a través

(Ex: Carrera de "campo a través".)
