^I think most of the new european cars have designed theyre cars so average joe can only do the most basic of maintenance these days.
 
Bought the Bosch Super 4's today from Halfrauds aka Halfords and as predicted the throttle is much more responsive, not sure if its made much difference to the acceleration though and ill have to wait a while to see if its improved the efficiency....
 
It won't give you any more power. None. But it will improve response, as you said. It may improve efficiency by burning the gasoline more thoroughly, but get one of those MSD ignitions that make 4+ sparks every power stroke if you want efficiency.
 
Yss: not just that blinking 4.3, but my lumina's 3.1, the 3.8 in my 92 taurus LX and 83 Mercury Marquis (fox platform)...basically, any modern car that has anything other than a straight engine configuration...and even then there might be problems
 
i should probably get some new plugs and wires for my '89 325i. the last guy didn't know anything about cars. they are a very attainable spot. so far working on it does not bring me to bouts of extreme frustration.

off topic.....but it's not a oil change till you spill hot oil on yourself and your driveway <8- P
 
Blarg: that's what a pan, a funnell and a 55 gallon drum is for. we stow all our used oil in drums. apparently, there's someone out there that burns OIL oil (not deisel) in his furnace.

and I'd get everything swapped on that engine, PRONTO. that much age on wires is a no-no. one of mine was arcing off the #1 wire onto a tension brace in one of mine no wonder my computer fried
