Ok, not sure if this has been answered before (searched, and couldnt find anything) but do low cars spark in the game at all?

I know there are sparks when they hit barriers. But what baout going over curbs, landing on jumps at the ring etc etc.

Would make Photomode awesome.

Cheers

Of all the times I've got air from insane jumps and landed, I've never seen sparks fly out the bottom of my McLaren F1. So I think the answer is no.

Damn. That is extremely disappointing.

PD have modelled sparks when cars bump (in what world do cars spark when they touch panels lightly when racing), yet have not modelled sparks when cars bottom out (very common in older racing cars).

How Lame.

yes. I don't think it ever happens when you're car goes aerial. It happens a lot on Nurburgring with some cars, especially the X2010. Going fast helps a lot, toooooo.

Trial Mountain would be easier/better.

Yes I have gotten sparks from my Imprezza STI before on Grand Vally. I have a picture too give me one second to post it.

If your car is low enough, it will spark. Meaning you need a really low car. Most street cars aren't low enough, and you can't tune the suspension softly enough for constant sparkage.

Was racing the grind track of the Dream Car series,(Daytona), was following a red racing Skyline that had sparks flying out the back around the corners. I'm not photo sharing intelligent though. Sorry.

Same here... Daytona (Like The Wind) has plenty of sparks from cars ahead.

Sweet!! THis is good news. Since PSN is down, I've been getting into photomode alot, and sparks at the ring at low light would look spectacular.

Daytona is another good suggestion as its fast, and bumpy.....

I'm going to lower the crap out of a JGTC/GroupC car and see what happens.

I was hoping to take similar pics to these:

I will wait in excitement for that!

No photo attempts atm sorry. I put Bob to win the Le Mans 24hr overnight, so hopefully I'll return with some sparky photos sometime this week when I have time.

Yes, when on Cape Ring I have had a low car(McLaren F1, SLS AMG, SLR) and their is a jump on the map and when you hit it you can make the car spark.

My Mazda 787B bottomed out on near the final chicane on the Nurburgring GP Circuit, the ride high hadn't been altered prior to this occurrence by the way. If you really want to try and make your car bottom out and generate sparks, I suggest using the FGT due to it's low ride height.

Ive not had sparks but when running a low car on Seattle circuit i've noticed the car juddering up and down at certain points and wondered what was going on!

Get the Honda Life Step Van, fully tune it, lower it as far as possible, and hit he brakes real hard, and it will throw sparks, just under hard braking. Well, at least it did for me during one of the seasonal events.

Take any of the NASCAR stock cars, lower them as far as possible and take 'em to Daytona Speedway. Sparks guaranteed. :D

Do you mean London or Tokyo?

If you go onto the Mulsanne straight at La Sarthe with a race car (Toyota Minolta etc) the car should bottom out in the middle of the straight.

As mentioned, the GTR Prototype LM does nothing but shoot out sparks from the rear splitter of the car.

Same here. haha. I didn't think it was anything special at the time, so I didn't take photos.

A lot of my rides sling sparks. Thats why I weld steel skid brackets underneath them. Just for show though. If your sparking during a race you may be too low or you may be just right. Anyways, sparks are cool. I wish I could mount a multi sparkler holder on my roof and run with 100 or so burning all the time. It might help on the night time tarmac's.
