Well this is a good one. The only other engines available in the US, at 2.7l that I can think of were, 70s Porche 911 2.7, and XT6. I dont think K-cars exceeded 2.5, except the 3.0 v6. Ford had a few I thought, in the mustang/coug/tbird, also the Ranger. GM did exceed 2.4, did they? Dunno, i cant wait to find out though...

Chevrolet Corvair?

👍

The Corvair debuted in 1960 with a 2.3 L, 80 hp flat six, which was punched out to 2.7 L by '64. The most powerful version was the '65-'67 Corsa Turbo, with a turbocharged 2.7 L with 180 hp, but by the end of production in '69 the turbo wasn't available anymore. Only the naturally aspirated 95 hp, 110 hp and 140 hp versions were offered in the last year.

Damn. If only I had read this thread yesterday then I would have gotten that easily. My dad has owned at least 14 Corvairs, and even though I personally haven't owned one, going his Corvair Club meetings since i was 5, I've picked up a lot.

Sorry for the delay guys, I forgot about this thread :guilty:

Should be pretty easy especially for Australians,

What is the official name of the first ever full production Holden (not earlier body's built by Holden but a full Holden model).

Jim Prower
Okay....

What was the cubic inch displacement of Chrysler's biggest Hemi?

In a production car or just from chrysler?

I will guess 426ci in a production car but that seems too obvious.

Your instinct was good....

Just from Chrysler. (Hint: was a factory Prototype)

EDIT: The displacement is hard to find, so, if you tell me what the engine was, it's number of cylinders, and what vehicle it was tested in, that would be fine.

Nope, that's not it....the NASCAR engine was a 426 anyway....

One more hint....It wasn't used in a car. too big.

Either the 3,000 horsepower 2,800 cubic inch V-16 in the XP-47,

Or the experimental V-12 for tanks in WWII. (I was going to say the 5 bank motor, but it was 5 6 cyl. flatheads stuck together.)
