Have you guys used these coupons much?

I found a high mileage Chevelle in UCD, bought it and then restored it using the coupon.

I then maxed tune for drag racing, but the HP fells short of max. Triple-checked the tuning, and oil change wasn't allowed after using the coupon.

Have any of you all experienced this as well? Should I be able to get to max HP after doing restore?

Thanks.

Well first of all, you need to 'know' how to make a 0/xxx/0 to 0/0/0. In your case, you have not broken in your car, so therefore you cannot have maximum BHP. You need about 200 miles to break in a car.

Where do you find this coupon?

Theses coupons dont make the car 0/0/0/ ... switches and wins don't reset to 0 i think... it's just the millage.. IMO it should put everything to 0/0/0/

Like Scottish GT5 said, you need to run the engine in before reaching maximum power.

And you have to change into the car to use the ticket, so no 0/0/0.

Yes, you can make it 0/0/0.

Really? I think use the coupon count as a switch ?

It does but if you do it correctly it doesn't. I refuse to go into this further.

Sorry I didn't reply back sooner.

Here is what i've did, and I know how to use the coupon.

I bought a high mileage (like over 200K if I remember) Chevelle from UCD.
Selected as active car.
Applied the special coupon, confirmed car was 0/0/0. I then went and maxed out at tune shop. Oil couldn't be changed. The HP is 816, which is low.

Then, a member here sent me a true 0/0/0 Chevelle. I did the same thing with it. The HP for it is 842.

I was asking the question, because it seems to me that the special coupon didn't seem to do more than rebuild the engine and roll the odometer back, not really restore to what I think 0/0/0 would mean (like it was brand new).

Also, since someone asked, the coupon is located at:

Yeah. This is similar with what is going on with me and the X2010'proto. People are. Getting 100 + pp over mine and it's broken in with 1000+ miles. Oil change and engine rebuild don't increase the hp at all.
