Which versions would you want to see brought back?

Personally, I liked the styles of both.

And this guy had a great idea:

I don't remember there being two different SSR11s. Does anyone have track maps of both? I remember how the one in GT3 looks, but not GT1.

What does this have to do with GT5 anyway?

By far my favorite fictional track in the history of Gran Turismo. I'd love to see it in GT5.

Where did the track go after the turn with the 4 by it in GT1? I'm sorry I can't remember. I was 12 when GT1 came out. Was there a tunnel underneath the main straight?

Yes, to GT1 version. No, to GT3 version.

Unless it's two variations, then have at it... but I never liked the GT3 version.

GT1 version please and thank you.

But the combined version of SSR5-11 wouldn't quite work as one of the two tracks would have to be run backwards with that particular join. Which is a bit of a problem as, in my opinion, both tracks are much better run forward than reverse.

The original had a chicane under the main straight. One of those turns where you gotta get it perfect otherwise you slow down too much or you hit a corner of the walls and spin your car out.

I'll vote GT1 version then...it seems more unique.

I really do like that chicane in the middle of the course in GT3 though.

The GT5 version of SSR5 prevents the big track in the video in the opening post to happen anytime soon. SSR5 and 11 wouldn't be able to connect in that way due to the North orientation of SSR5 and the absence of potentially connecting roads in its sharpest hairpin. However not all is lost for a big track. In the GT3 version of SSR11 an illuminated bridge similar to what can be found in SSR7 can be spotted outside the track at the end of the main straight (maybe it's the same?). Also it appears that SSR5 could be able to connect to SSR7 with the closed passage under the tunnel at the end of its main straight.

Anyway, regarding SSR11 personally I would like to see a GT1 version without the pointless chicane.

I liked that Chicane. When you get it perfect you just slide right in and out.

Doubt well see it... but GT1 version, the classic. I still remember the license test in GT1 on SSR11 with TVR Griffin, very challenging.
