Oh lordy... the other night, I decided to try the Pro League GT World Championship... I was doing fine, however, when I got to SS11 (5?) II, I absolutely flipped out! I've never competed on this course before! I've never, EVER seen it in the beginner or amateur leagues, so I was totally unprepared. Is this the only league where you can race in it? BTW, sorry for being so vague... I can't remember if it's the Special Stage 5 or 11, though I know it's a backwards course (II).

I think it's Special Stage 11 in reverse, and that's the first time you race on it. It's not an easy corse, especially since it's new and you're up against the 787, R390 and GT-One. I think if you've unlocked all the Arcade mode tracks, you'll find it there if you want to run a few laps to find the best lines.

I had a similar surprise when I got to SS11... It isn't one of my favorites, but I don't have problems winning there though... Just take your time and learn the course some, and you'll be fine :banghead: :burnout:

If you think you have problems with SS11 now, just try and go back to GT1 and play on SSR11. It had a deadly chicane towards the middle section of the track that caused a lot of hell if you didn't time it right or tried to go through it too fast. It also had the backwards version as an endurance race, and I must say that that was one of the most challenging races in the game.

Okay, so it's SS11 II... jeezes, that's hard! The track looks totally different in reverse, and it seems harder to avoid smashing the barriers  Actually, SS11 is one of my favorite courses, but simply reversing it makes it hecktic.

BTW, are there any other courses that come up as surprises in Pro League?

Thanx!

I rather enjoyed that track. It's nice when you get into a series and they throw something fresh and moderately new at you. It keeps the game challenging, and form going stale on you. Sometimes it's nice to run 10 laps on an unfamiliar track cause it breaks up the monotony.

lmao - Now I've got him saying that in my head. (Just adding to the voices in my head).

And, I agree - SSR11 II is by far the most beastly course ever. I've tried to practice up in arcade mode, but whenever I start playing it, it makes me cry and I end up losin'

lol

SSR11 was in the origional Gran Turismo. But it was HARDER with a cool ass chicane which you either did well or smashed head on into a barrier. It still has to be my favorite track polyphony digital has made. Although they have made it wussy in GT3 removing the chickane.

In powefull cars I usually misjudge the first corner and slam straigt into the curved wall. SSr11 is not a good course to play when you are feeling tired. Cant wait to do the endurance SSR11 though.

I did the SSR 11 endurance last week. It felt it would go on and on forever, but suddenly there was the finish line. There is some heavy competition on that endurance, so you will be busy the whole time. No time for fun like with the other endurances.

Laguna Reverse would rock!!

I didn't really like SSR11 II either, although I first did it in the PD series, which I was well on top of, so my slow start didn't matter too much.

One of the hardest tracks for me is Apricot Reverse - I always have a hard time managing the tyre wear rates there.

Yeah the High Speed Link RULED.I used to try and get my lap time to exactly 1 minute.
I like the SSR11 Reverse, especially the wet stage

hehe it was 57secs 090msecs in me vipergts-r

I like Special Stage 5 much better than SS11, but I deal with it. Another surprise for you is the Cote D Azur. I had read about it on here, but I hadn't actually seen it for a while until I got up to the Pro league.

I think Laguna Seca Reverse would be an awesome race. Maybe that should be considered for GT4, as well as bringing back some tracks. It seems a lot of people miss several tracks from GT2.

:burnout:

Have you actually ever done Laguna Seca in reverse? (Fun to do when you're going to lose anyway :p ) It's 🤬 hard! The worst part is going up the corkscrew, because you literally fly up! Also, the corners seem to be harder...

Bah, still can't get the hang on SS11 II...

complex string, and cote d azur are tuffest for me
its ok with an f1 car and the vertigo

do endurance on complex string with a friend winner gets 100 BUCKS
(arcade mode set laps to 40) 😈

+ ss11 is kind alrite for me
after racing it in pro mode like (10 laps or is it 15) u the hang of it

I did Laguna Seca backwards too yesterday.
At the corkscrew it looks like you're gonna take off into the air. I like it better reversed, now:D:D
