Yeah, I saw the thread, but since it wasn't specific, I decided to make a more specific one. Like the variety of choices?

----------

I'm Catholic, not ashamed of it at all.

I'm Methodist if anything. I only go to church when I'm visiting my Aunt who's a Methodist preacher. I really don't think I need to go to chruch weekly to proove I believe in a higher power.

Could be, could not be... Perhaps we'll never know....

Thanks Sage!

Oh man, I forgot Morman..... Are there any Mormans here, or can we leave that off?

Moderators, I voted Methodist and I clearly remember voting Methodist. It shows that I've voted but Methodist has no votes. I'm stumped.

For all you who are Atheist, what do you think happens to you when you die? Do you think that's all that happens? You just...die? Just wondering. Not judging.

Yes. You die, get buried in a hole 6 feet underneath the ground, and stay there forever.

I'd rather get burned up... don't wanna creep myself out, ya know.

Non-denominational Christian, right here! :D

From Kindergarten up until 8th grade I attended private Catholic schools. Then I have Apostolic/Pentacostal/Baptist coming at me from all directions in the family blood line. To me, they all pretty much boil down to the same point of view. I go by the Bible. Although I do try my best and attend church every Sunday.

Perhaps you can answer this question for me:

Seriously and honestly, what is the difference between non-denom and Lutherans?

Honestly, that's really hard for me to say, because I don't see a difference. I've been brought up in so many different denominations that in the end they're all the same to me. The Lutheran denomination (to me, please correct me if I'm wrong because I'm not aquainted with Lutheran well) seems like a more light-hearted spin off of Catholicism. But I really don't know for the most part.

Pentacostal and Apostolic are pretty much the exact same thing. The only difference I have seen between the two is what is said when you're being baptized (seriously!) For example: "In the name of the Father, son, and the Holy Ghost." And "In the name of Jesus Christ." They argue all the time about which is correct! Pentacostal and Apostolic churches are the AkA "Holy Roller" churches! These are the ones where people scream, shout, jump up and down, cry out their praises, sing, speak in tongues, run up and down the ailes, pray for one another out in the open; that kind. I attend churches similar to these kinds, but no where near as strict. I'll tell you why. The only down fall about these type of denominations is there's a ton of man made junk. Lots of it, if not most of it, point the finger at women. Women can only wear skirts and dresses, and they must be at the ankle. No make up, earings, piercings, or clothing that might even appear provocative. Hair must be no shorter than a certain length either. This is why I avoid most Pentacostal/Apostolic churches is because of stupid man made rules. Let me remind you that not all are like this, but a lot I've been to are.

I'm still Jewish and still proud of the fact that my temple has a dual tip muffler ingraved as thier "tree of life". Strangely, I'm surprised I don't go there more often for that fact, it's the only good thing about going, just staring at that muffler thinking "Did they really fool anyone?" and "what's that off of?".

If you don't mind me asking, do you practice your faith?

From kindergarten to 7th grade I attended a private Christian(Bapsist) School.:scared: I think that's why I'm an atheist.

Gotta love having religion forced upon you.

I never felt it was forced upon me. In fact, when saints or Mary were being prayed to during Mass or other ceremonies, I would not pray; this is simply because I don't believe in praying to anyone else other than God/Jesus. But out of respect I would bow my head or fold my hands and say my own prayer to myself to God.

We all come to an age in our lives when we have a serious headache and ask ourselves "is what I believe in true? Is it right?" In the end, we ultimately decide what we believe. I'll admit I've done this a thousand times, but I've come to the conclusion nothing has been strong enough to even shake what I believe.

I was talking more about my own personal experience.:p

It was basically forced upon me. I as 4 when they made me start going there even though I had no desire to. It wasn't that bad of a school, but I didn't like all the religion stuff that was involved. The people who ran it were idiots, though. I used to take riddlin(sp?), and I went to the bathroom(with pills in hand) one day before I took it. While I was in there one of the teachers ran in there, saw me talking to some kid by the sinks with the pills, and accused me of trying to sell drugs on school property. I was thinking to myself, "Err, I'm like 11, or something, dude. How many 11 year old drug dealers do you know?" The people who ran the school even knew I took riddlin, but they believed the teacher.:banghead: They took me to the head guy's office where he proceeded to paddle me like 3 times really hard without even calling my ****ing parents to tell them the story. After he paddled me I ran out of his office cussing at him, and his wife as loud as I could. Then, and only then, they called my parents. My parents thought about pressing charges against the school, but instead they just took me out of it, and put me in public schools. That was one of the happiest moments in my life.

Blah. I ramble too much.

Your parents should've sued their arses.

Blazin, only on major holidays/family events. Hanuka-always, but at home. Usually I'll take off school for Yom Kipur, but usually when we go to the temple the well-overcrowded place is unbareable and we end up leaving. Last year I took off school to go to temple with my grandma, which was still way better than going to school.

If your question meant if I'm a religious person, no I'm not. Sorry, I just don't really spend my time doing that. No one in my imediate family is really religious. It's just not us. I guess we are borderline reform Jews. It's all good.
