My guess as to what it is:

1) Drift scoring option online
2) 1/4 and top speed drag strips
3) "New" old tracks from GT4
4) Couple more Japanese cars (joy...)
5) Couple more paints

What I wish for:

1) Road Atlanta - The whole reason I play rFactor and Forza
2) Porsches (ie new RUFs)
3) More rally courses
4) RM option on a Mustang
5) BRM V16 - Never gonna happen, but that old car has without a doubt the greatest exhaust note in vehicular history

Sounds like a promising update. I'd be satisfied having El Capitan and the Seattle circuit back. I really miss the Seattle track.

Tracks and cars would be nice, but they wouldnt last us very long. I think we need a whole bunch of new course creator options to personalize are tracks.
Also, I dont know if it would be possible, but a car creator would be cool too. It would let you customize the shape of the car, the engine, and other various aspects. :)

It would be better if the limiter was less artificial. Giving a completely flat power curve is unrealistic, I think. I actually don't know what the effects of restrictor plates are but I'd imagine it's not that.
To put it simply, real intake restrictors cause power/torque to decrease proportionally with rpm. The result is that the engine loses more at high rpm than at low ones.

Here is an example:

soT3g.png

Thick lines: normal engine
Thin lines: intake restricted engine

This would have been much better than the "power limiter".
In addition, they could have also included an option to decrease rev limiter rpm. That would have helped too in a more natural way for certain engines.

no one knows... we have to wait till we get some official infos...

i dont like the rumors they are mostly wrong

So this is another might be, could be, would be, and no one knows what PD is going to bring! ok, I can wait!

More A spec championships
Better & more aggressive AI
Being able to buy ALL parts/changes without having to exit your event
Stop kicking me out of the seasonals back to main screen after each race, please!
Being able to change oil/re-build motor/do chassis refurb without having to exit your event
Fast forward on replays
Then obviously the 'more tracks (Spa, please), cars, premiums, etc' wish list...

*wakes up with a bump*

Sounds like a wishlist thread. Which brings us to: "We already have a a thread for this."

But on-topic. I'm expecting tracks from the older games and that Toyota FT-86 II.

People like this just makes me wana break jaws.no life:sick:

How about dinamic wheather and time on all tracks? It's not likely to happen, but it would be great and not so complicated since the game already has a weather engine...

How fun is that? New content would be the old content 'cause everybody wants the old tracks et cetera.. I think spec two should deliver totally new **** as well as old.. :dopey:

Totally agree about A-spec...there is not sufficent races for me in A-spec mode:(

Well I'd love them to get rid of all the stupid trading restrictions like being able to send cars over 1 million credits and being able to send more than just 1 car a day, and also maybe a way to buy paint for credits so you don't have people scamming you out of nice cars for some chrome chips (trust me its happened to me soo many times before), and for the dlc that's expected after spec 2 some new cars would be nice and maybe a few new tracks like silverstone, also as I'm a drifter some specially designed drifting tracks would be awesome

I really don't see it happen, because they are updating seasonal events regularly in response of the lack of events in A-spec. If they add new tracks, they will for sure create new seasonal events with these new tracks, but no new a-spec events, even because it will mess up the trophy system.

I know we won't get all of this stuff and I am not expecting it, this is just what I'd like as a player. If we got only a handful of these things I'd be a very happy boy.

1. More tracks, old and new. I'd like to see the test track, more road / city circuits like from gt3 and gt4 and some like El Capitan (sp?).

2. Improvements to the course creator, even more locations would be nice but more customisation features would be nice. Enough power to be able to copy the shape at least of real world circuits would be great.

3. A few more cars, id like to see some newer cars, like Astons newer models, a few new GT cars. I'd like to see some 80's and 90's Ferraris like the 355, the Testarossa, the 456GT, that one that followed it (it's name has escaped me).

4. In practice mode I'd like to be able to have a similar spec championship, not just a one make; so your racing a variety of cars. Some special events for each track here would be nice (like past gt's had).

5. I would like a car/livery editor of some sorts. I'm a cg artist so it really appeals to me to create custom content. I don't think we'd ever get to design out own body kits and stuff though.

6. Event creator would be amazing, tied in with custom courses and distributed online would be potentially quite epic. Especially if you could race them online as events.

7. Speed up online mode so it's not so slow and laggy, it takes forever to connect (I don't think it's my settings as other games are fine).

8. Better engine sounds would be nice.

9. I think it would be cool if weather could change on any event (ability to turn off).

I just want the TVR Cerbera LM Race Car from GT1/GT2, still my favourite car from the series. Some more Ferrari race cars would be nice also.

Putting the hope for new tracks and cars and the endless back and forth about a livery editor aside, there's still quite a few glaring problems with GT5 that PD might be addressing with Spec II, in rough order of importance to all GT players:

1. The AI. Too much could be said here, but it really boils down to the fact that the AI brakes way too early but is way too perfect on corner exit and has no idea how to interact when the player's car is nearby.

2. The premium/standard problem--from the mediocre PS2-quality rendering of standards to lack of cockpit view. Nothing more needs to be said here either.

3. Online mode. Granted, this is PD's first real foray into online play, but the idiot driver problem really needs to be addressed, among other things. A "Time Attack" mode wouldn't be a bad idea either...

4. A-Spec/B-Spec. Actually, I wouldn't even waste time on B-Spec, but there are a whole slew of gameplay problems with A-Spec--insufficient content, the need to "grind" both for XP and credits.

5. The Top Gear material is badly mis-executed. A lot of us could write paragraphs about how badly botched this was.

6. The lack of standing starts, practice and qualifying in A-Spec mode.

7. The lack of difference in wear between hard and soft tires.

8. The car purchase system should be revised. There really isn't much logic to making only premium cars available for purchase at will.

9. Ensuring full support for all racing wheels (I'm thinking G25/7 here).

10. Night/weather. Both of these features are pretty underutilized in A-Spec and the seasonals.

11. Kart racing. Another new feature that is seriously underutilized. Considering how PD nailed the physics of driving a go-kart, they really could stand to fully flesh this out.

12. There is pretty much no rhyme or reason as to which aftermarket wheels fit which cars.

13. Brake balance issue. Need to go back to the GT4 system for brake upgrades, not the 5/5 default for all cars.

14. Course maker: Mt. Aso and Toscana really ought to have a point-to-point option. It also doesn't make sense to have to create multiple versions of the same track just to have rain or different lighting. Also, the track backgrounds do become fairly bland and lifeless pretty quickly.

15. Damage. Considering how GT5 nails the physics of driving the car, it's funny how lacking the physics are when you nail another car or a barrier. The AI cars shouldn't be tanks nor should any car be drivable if you tag a wall.

16. GT Auto and the Tuning Shop probably ought to integrated into one feature and not separate.

17. Slipstreaming. Among the most unrealistic aspects of the game. This is pretty easy to fix: just get rid of it.

18. Did I mention the AI?

19. Rally. This also could've been better integrated overall.

20. Paints. This could be revised. There's a dizzying array of paints, the vast, vast majority of which most people will never use, but no ability to purchase matte, color shift or chrome paints. Instead of giving away 7 a day and making it hugely cumbersome to navigate through the paint menu, convert the paint system to a market system.

Absolutely none of this is new content, but it would really revolutionize the game if PD could address this stuff, most of which is fairly basic...

lets be realistic,
there will be a revised a spec/b spec , probably to go along dlc ,* dlc tracks will have there own trophy's.*
probably 15-20 new premiums...
a few new / old tracks ? 3-5..
small overhaul to course creation from point a to b , was removed in final build
new menus
upgraded arcade mode to include favorites system *like in gt5P*
new special events...
this is if anything the best we will get worst would be half ...

There are quite a few cars from older GT's I'd like to see
GT40 Road Car, Toyota GT-ONE Road Car, GT-90 Concept, Dodge Concept (Viper looking one). Also more RM cars. Personally I don't care if you can RM a 1996 Elise but a Lamborghini Murcielago RM or Ford GT '06 RM would be cool. Also I'd love to see a road version of the Lamborghini Diablo. I mean this was Lamborghini's car in the 90's and early 2000's. I think at one point it was even the fastest car in the world. I might be a little bias because I'm a Lamborghini fan but still. As for the DLC I don't think it will be any tracks but probably another tuner Nissan which I'm not necessarily excited about but hopefully PD surprises me. My personal thoughts is that this update is going to be a big disappointment. Hopefully PD proves me wrong.

Hoping for something big *crosses fingers*.

I'd like to see:
-Endurance saves
-Better used car dealer (maybe make it like new car dealer, but for used cars and have it still restock; maybe get those rare 0 mile cars)
-Standard to premium
-More tracks

But I'm fine with whatever they throw in.

Ebisu complex
Tarmac Hill Climb Courses
MK1 Gallardo with option for SL Kit
Premium MKIV supra
Option to turbo mid-engined cars
Option to change boost pressure
Option to change offset

Wishlist bro.
Nothing says they have to be logical, this is just about what you want as opposed to what will be provided

Tracks:
TRUE drag strip with bracket racing included
Infineon
Road America
Road Atlanta
Watkins Glen
Monza Oval

Cars:
71 Chevy C/20 pickup

Would love to have some new cars, such as Koenigsegg, Hennessey, Noble and also more Ferraris, such as the 599 GTO. More Rufs as well.
