why?
I have a question for you peeps at GTP. Why did they make it so that when most of the cars after being modified could go 200+ mph? I mean come on....i know a Skyline GT-R can go 160 but 240? Some of the cars in GT3 can't even make it to 180mph but they have them going 200+ in GT3.

uhh... there are highly modified street legal skylines( well maybe not legal) that put out 1000hp in real life. I had some video off skylines doing a 0-300 KPH (that's close to 200mph i think) acceleration test I think the fastest one did it in like 18 (or was is 13) seconds or something ridiculous like that. If my dad's prelude 200hp, 150lb*ft of torque can get close to 140mph a 1000hp skyline can go 250mph+, I don't see what is so hard to believe.

Pretty much any car can go 200 MPH or faster when you've completely changed the drivetrain, removed as much weight as possible, put a huge turbocharged engine in, etc. It all depends on how heavily you modify it.

A stock UK-spec Supra (326hp) with the limiter removed can hit 205mph. Although it may be more aerodynamic than a Skyline, I see no problem with a 900hp Skyline running to 200mph.

The FIAT Coupe Turbo 20v SE IN REAL LIFE has been tested to 186mph in 6th gear, and that only puts out 210hp...

The first proven 200mph road production car only had 370hp remember (only! Pffft).

Thanks for the facts Famine...👍 That's pretty amazing that a car can reach that far for only 40,000 AU...(Supra)

About to buy one myself... :D

I just have to track down a decent mileage, UK spec, non-modified one and it's mine...

u made a mistake

i got a supra and i heard the the uk spec had some fiability problems so i got mine from Japan

i live in the Usa but i want to a auto shop and they only had the Rs(well the non turbo one) so i had to im^port it from japan

I had a 97 Z28 convertible camaro and it did 151mph. The only thing I did to it was lower it and slap some 18" rims on it.

40,000 AU!!!!!!!

u sure thats right dodge........

div - I made a mistake? *looks around* where?

Sounds like you made the error - the Japanese standard turbo Supra has only 280hp, with smaller 14" front discs, compared to the UK spec which put out 326hp and came with 15" front discs. Plus insuring a UK spec is easier than an import. Parts are no problem for the imports, as I speak Japanese, but the UK spec is quicker, STOPS quicker and is cheaper to insure...
