i was doing the 4th championship in amature league and noticed sumthing.

The first races where very easy 2 win, i could be stupid and win by 6 seconds, but on the later races the opponents where much faster and i had to race to win.

I watched the replay of the 3rd race (apricot hill) and 8th race (ssr11). On apricot hill the opponents throttle meters showed they where running at about 3/4 when accelerating, while on r11 they were running full throttle.

Any ideas why the cars are faster on later races ?

Because you'll have been running for so long you need an oil change, which is one thing.

I might be wrong but I'm sure it's been proven before that the AI starts off really badly, but gets better as the series goes on. Comments please?

The AI does, in fact, use "power multipliers" and a form of the "catch up" mode in various Amatuer and Pro League races. The former has been verified by downloading, via Xport, a saved replay, opening the replay in mk's GaragEdit program, exporting the AI car to an .ini file and then checking the "power multiplier" line in the code.

The catch up mode can be checked by running a race, pulling off and letting the AI go by to gain a significant lead (+30 seconds or so), catching up at full speed and blowing by the AI, and then watching the AI reaction in the Repay.

They will slow way down, waiting for you to catch up, then when you blow by them at full speed, they will "suddenly" drive much faster than they normally would in order to try and catch up.

na wat im saying is that the cars get faster near the end of the championship. When u watch the replay it has the brake and acceleration meters and these where different for the AI cars in the early and late races. I was using a new car without oil change so i actually gained power aswell, srry 2 break that theory.

What I described is not a theory, it's a proven fact.

True, the AI drive more aggressivally in the later races of any particular series. Even in the Beginner's League, the last race of the 3 race mini-series has slightly more aggressive AI. The fact that you are seeing the brake and accelerator meters indicate a difference in performance is related to the "catch up" mode employed by the AI.

Also, in the full series, the AI do not suffer any power loss due to oil degradation. This is in addition to any power multipliers and/or catch up mode being used by the AI.
