Hey guys, I was messing up with the new awesome speet test feature, and I started to test stock cars to see if the in-game cars matches well the real counterpart, and I discovered that with stock tires (sport hard most of the times) every car is at least 0,2 - 0,3 seconds slower than the real counterpart in 0-100 kmh times. Then I tried to switch to Sport Soft and obtained more realistic results. Examples :
Ferrari 458 Italia, fully broken in, no oil change (563 bhp)
Real 0-100 = 3,4 seconds
SH Tires = 3,748 seconds starting in second gear, 4,053 starting in first (tires slides too much even if you modulate the throttle)
SS Tires = 3,408
McLaren F1 '94, fully broken in, no oil change (626 bhp)
Real 0-100 = 3,2 seconds
SH Tires = 4,087
SS Tires = 3,403
I tested more cars with pretty the same results, and all this testing made me think that for speed test sport soft are more close to the real counterpart, even if for lap times on normal tracks sport soft are too much grippy in my opinion. This made me think that the game lacks of grip at very low speeds, so that could be the cause of the discrepancy between real world 0-100 times and sport hard in game 0-100 times.
What do you think about it?
