Hello, my name is Jim, but you can call me Jim :sly:
I am here to help and teach you the ropes of the Gran Turismo 5 Speed Test (DLC Required). I like to consider myself quite knowledgeable when it comes to the Acceleration Test procedure, however, I can try to the best of my ability to help with the Maximum Speed Test procedure. For help, please comment on this thread, send me a private message through GTPlanet and I will discuss further on how I can be of assistance 👍

*Please note*
I have considered putting this is the Drag Sub-Forum, but this is mainly teaching you how to tune for the Speed Test. Albeit, you can use this method of tuning for Drag Racing, but that is not the intended purpose of this thread.

If this thread generates any/enough attention I will, instead of have people message me with requests, just put up the tunes for the community to see.

He's offering help for people who want the most speed out of their cars, but, can't tune it themselves, or just can't find the right tuning for it.

I have recently acquired the resources to venture online after a week of offline play. This leads me to my penultimate question; what would be a 'good, easy, fun, fast' car to start with? I have got all the DLC, and with my favourite car (458 Italia), I consider myself fairly good at the Acceleration Mode in the Speed Test. So, what's a good 'noob' car for me to begin my online endeavours with?
 
He's a beginner but at the same time an expert....... I don't get it.
 
I am new to online, but I believe I can help you on the Speed Test. I'm not here to force this upon you, but I'd like to be believed on this matter:tup:
 
Maybe give an example of some numbers you can achieve with a car and list what mods installed, hp/wt/pp, etc.
That's if you're not willing to just give a tune out for people to try, which is the popular and proven method.👍

Tune a GT-ONE, Bugatti or Nostripe for 10k and we can do some runs online (I have only these 3 cars tuned for 10k). Send me a FR and if my list is full then simply PM me.

I'm interested. Do you make drag tunes and are good at them? I assume fast times at the speed test would also mean the car would be great at drag racing. Put a tune or some tips up

Dr. Slump, I am aware that you are among the elite for 3-10K drag races. Thus wouldn't be much use in me trying to beat you at your distance. I've said I can assist as I have a general knowledge in max speed tuning.

I don't expect you to beat me. I see if someone is good or not, no matter if I got beat or not.
 
I am willing to give, possibly, some of the fastest cars available in the Speed Test, which in turn, are top quality "Drag cars"👍 I would much prefer that the car is sent to me. This makes sure that the tune is properly input:tup:

You could misinterpret how I've worded it. Up to you though. You either want my help, or you're just trolling around looking for something that's missing. I hope you find whatever it is you're looking for:tup:

I suppose he thinks that many people have no clue about how flipping a tranny works. And from my experience this is true, just to be fair.

I'm trolling:crazy: I am not new to this game. You are.I don't ask for cars,you do.I can tune and have posted my tunes,you have not posted any tunes.I have enough sense to think that people can actually read and can flip a tranny or raise or lower their suspension without messing it up.So until I actually see one of your tunes posted I can only think you are possibly.
A) looking for some free cars
B) trying to get some response again on this thread.

So I'll volunteer myself and I'll send any car for you to tune and let everybody know how it goes.
Please send a PSN FR to sneakypete123 and let me know what car you would like me send, if you dont mind I'd like it to be somthing from the NCD and meanwhile I'll be tuning the same car.

Just to let you know, I've only ever tuned 3-5 cars for drag as its not really my thing I enjoy circuit driving so it not like I'm an expert waiting to tear you apart.

I would also like to try somthing here to make it fair, after tuning send the car to somone on this forum who knows alot about drag and I'll also send mine to the same person.

Also im not bothered about getting the car back so said person doesnt have to worry about messing up trading scheduels etc.

Hmm. I would suggest an 'easy' car to tune. The Nissan GTR springs to mind. An AWD with very easy shift points. There is no reason for you to send a car either:tup: Just make sure that your car is broken in (300km/180miles) and fully modded:tup: Is there a deadline when this is to be presented? Would you prefer to use the '07, '09 or '12?
 
When ever you have the time shall we say an '09 model fully broken and fully tuned.
Perhaps be able to get this done over the weekend.

I hope that your GTR is going as hoped:tup: I can upload my time/pic at any stage, but I'll wait until you have finished yours before I upload mine 👍
 
I'm not sure if you are still going with this, but here is my time. Can still be greatly improved but I figured this should do for now 👍

Yes I know, but if I tune the car on share, does the tune stay? I've heard that it resets the tune.
