Speedometer strangeness

I'm new to the forums but I searched and couldn't find anything about this so I thought I'd just ask. I have the US version of GT3 and I noticed that the game has speedometer issues when I'm racing. For instance, in a low-powered car, when the analog speedo has a max speed of 160, I notice that the analog speed reads 10 mph slower than the ditigal speedo. Which is the real speed of my vehicle? I believe it's the digital readout. Also, no matter how powerful my car, there is never an analog speedo that reachs a max speed past 200 mph. If I go beyond 200 mph, the needle just buries itself. I noticed in the manual, there is a 320 max speed speedo (it says kph but the needle matchs the digital speedo that's in mph), so I was wondering if there is supposed to be a speedo that goes to 320 max speed in the game? Do all US version games do what my game is doing or just certain versions (if there is more than one US version)?

It's not a major game playing function so it doesn't bother me that much, but I'm just wondering about it. Any ideas or comments?

I don't know if it is just me, but does it feel like the US version going 160mph feels like going 100mph?

I swear sometimes I just think the developers just changed the numbers units. Sometimes when i play the JDM GT2 and the US GT2 the JDM GT2 seems faster. It could possibly one of psychological factors but who knows.. just my 2 cents.

No, there is two. The one with the arm that goes up and down, and the one with the digital readout, the numbers. Can you not see them?

creature-- I'm not really sure what the answer is to your question, though there are other little glitches like that in the game too. For example, when you do a fast lap in Free Run mode, note the HP of your car (it's shown when you go to change the settings), and note the time you get on your fastest lap. Then, when you make that lap, save the replay, and give it a name. Then look at the info for the replay, and you'll sometimes notice that the lapt time is slightly different (by a few hundredths or thousandths) than what you wrote down, and you'll usually notice that the HP is different. I'm not sure why those happen either. *shrugs*

BTW, thanks for using the "Search", and keep posting interesting threads like this. :)👍

ya know how the S2000 has a digital speedo, well thats what popped up in my mind at the time...so thats why iasked

Hmmm, myn seems fine, maybe you were acclelerating, looked at one then looked at the other and that's why it's different?

A Vitz Euro doesn't accelerate very fast, and everyone that watchs me play notices it too. They don't have to pay attention to turns either. At first I thought that the analog one was set to kph while the digital one was on mph. But if I'm going 30 digitally, I'm going 20 in analog. If I'm going 90 on D, I'm doing 80 on A. Makes no since to me. And it only happens when it's an analog speedo with a max speed of 160.

Just thought it was curious, I'll take that bug over something more game-disrupting. I only usually look at the digital one anyway. I always wonder which speedo is telling my actual speed tho! LOL! Prolly digital... I hope.
