In a further update to Team Bridge's ongoing equipment upgrade. It seems we now struggle to keep certain cars on the track at all. :ouch: Particularly high powered road cars.
Part of this is that our driver is still a bit physically damaged.

Optimism is high though! :)

Perhaps going through parts of career mode again from the start would be some nice initial training. It pays out credits too! 💡
 
Mallet and I did a little inter-continental relation building race session today.... Did a little wheel work... He'll be back to solid race form soon!!!

It's so time consuming to find a tune for your style, find a tune for your wheel, find a tune for a track, find a tune for time respectability, then scrap all of that and rebuild your style to keep up with aliens,redo tunes for your wheel, keep the game fun, scrap your time trial tunes for race ready tunes....

It was fun watching cars ran at Daytona 150 laps down... It reminded me you learn way more from experience than winning... Winning comes from the work you do....

Kudos to those who get together outside of our events to help each other enjoy our stupid game more.....

one thing I notice when I switch from DS3 to steering wheel is the control of the throttle.

when using a DS3, we press the "X" to accelerate, like an "on/off" switch, or we "bump" the button to simulate half-throttle.


when switching to pedal, we got so excited and we just floor the gas all the time, seems we forgot we still have to press the pedal gently to control the throttle, like driving a real car.


one time I was driving (the real car) and I notice I actually press on the gas pedal for 20~30% when going through a corner, even a fast ramp.

and I usually do 50-70% on the PS3...

thus I tried 20~30% on the PS3....

it works...

it's the kind of music... it's so funny I have this picture popping up that you standing beside a green car and waiting for a challenge.. some sort of scene like that... on a desert somewhere in mexico of course...... hahahahaaaa!!!!!

The X button on a DS3 is touch sensitive. I can ease onto the throttle gradually by keeping the inside of my thumb knuckle on the controller next to the button & gently using a rocking motion to press down.
It's one of the many things that are different when using a wheel & practice is always the way forward. 👍

In the GT300 car I was smoother & faster straight away, the 3 second improvement was without even nailing a great lap. A lot of cars are going to take longer. Dealing with a loss of traction is the thing that really seems completely new now while so many things are happening in a different way than before. Trying a smaller amount of throttle at times is definitely the next step I think.:)

I noticed things like that at various points in the day. I think by the time I was crashing everywhere my body was giving up a bit.
Earlier on in the afternoon I think I noticed the speedo at around 85mph right through a hairpin while I was barely touching the accelerator, not sure now but it could have been in a road-going RX7 at Suzuka. The details escape me now, I was just messing around with it most of the afternoon.

I'll stop with the minor details now anyway. Suffice to say transitions are afoot over at Team Bridge. For the main event in February, things are looking interesting.
Our team physio is being moved into a larger office & we're looking into a sponsorship deal with a pharmaceutical supplier.
 
hey tjger add a :banghead: and a wooo hooo for me. and for the big northeast blizzard i just drove 116 miles straight on a snow covered interstate thats 4 hours from new york city and the roads there look better then where im at but i only got 3 inches of snow
 
There's supposed to be even heavier snow here tomorrow...I got about 5 inches.

Good Gosh. I tell you what. There so much snow up there. I'm glad I'm down here.
Last time I took a spit, it started a snowball rolling downhill. Next thing you know I'm being handcuffed for causing an avalanche.

I may not have the full accurate answer but as we are in similar time zones & I'm awake, I'll try to explain.

The agenda for casual night can vary but we often see a similar kind of format.

Typically for a casual night there will be 10-12 short races at various pp limits. Sometimes there are slight specifics such as "race car" or "road car" but mostly it's designed so that anyone can pick something from their garage & start driving.
One make races get thrown into the agenda too but the game gives you a courtesy car for these so you don't need to own it already. There are sometimes more than one of these per casual night.

I guess the format which you saw last week was very much like this.

I think the request that Mazda was making was that he doesn't want us to see a precise agenda for the whole night until it is nearly time to race. That way, it keeps the casual feel of the evening & people don't prepare in the way that they would for a main event. 👍

Jocke is my name and P22 stands for Position 22 (as in last on the grid in Formula 1 racing).
I've always had a soft spot for the drivers at the back of the field in motorsport in general and F1 in particular.

P is also the first letter in my surname so it works that way too.
I'm JockeP22 at a motorcycle forum as well.

Actually I would like to and I could leave it up to the club. That's how it all started but I also wouldn't want anyone thinking I would be doing it for any type of advantage since I would be the only person knowing what we're running ahead of time. We all know i'll destroy you guys any day of the weak anyway.:lol::lol::lol:

ok, even I just spit out my own drink from laughter on that one..

Ok back to reality. This week i'll post another agenda and when we race Thursday night I'll see how everyone feels and go from there. it may be that the following week the race agenda stops and its all a surprise.
