I'm slightly asking myself if I should feel guilty or not for demanding you a little help for setting my car... :confused: :guilty:

The main thing for me is, when I reached the finish line, to get feeling having fought well. It was the case in Spa and I still enjoy the feedback you gave guys...

What are we talking about???? It doesn't concern a kind of league event at all. IMHO, it's a fun event, but a difficult and serious one. Nothing to do with our Casual Races. Not at all!!!

As said a million times we are talking about getting the cars equal.
Nothing else and it is easily possible to get all cars within 1 sek on ALL TRACKS.
Why should we not do that.

What do you want an even field of cars?
Answer is obviously no as your post above again brings in Driving Skills

An even field of drivers?
Answer is also no because you didnt like tjger idea to gieve you numbers based on race results.

So tell me pls what is your goal. You are also a fast driver?
Having the fastest car and beeing one of the fastest driver so the job is as easy as possible. I dont get it?
So the most uneven experience like in Spa where you as a fast driver got the fastest car and OB as a weaker driver got the rotten tomato i dont think he enjoyed it very much.

No one wants to reach a perfekt state of every car is in one tenth. I will drive every car you want me to if they are in 1 sek. Which again is easily possible and tjger knows that. He is just pissed about the Drama and a lot of it comes from people who are natrually upset about the change because it affects them the most.

I tell you a secret i am also negative affected by this change but i accept it.

Try appreciating the work off all the people involved and first off all tjger who was on for like 7h yesterday instead of whining around and always complaining about everything to make the field more even.

Thats my last post on this Topic. For the race again i will do a german brand if possible if not having "FUN" in the ford GT lapping people
 
As much as I'd like to believe alcohol is the solution here, it just isn't. So here's something I propose we do to solve this whole thing. Top 3 times out of everyone in their original cars get sent to drive the GT-R no ifs ands or buts. It'll give the fast guys a true challenge to get the car perfect to compete and it gives the mid pack guys a chance to be at the front. This is what we want right? everyone on a level field? I don't want to say I know how to solve big dustups like this, but I'm willing to say I single-handedly started possibly the biggest one in club history, and over what? TIMES, so what the ford is fast, you're not driving it. "But it can go 2 seconds faster", in your hands yes, in everyone else's not so much.

So the easiest way I see to solve this is to send the guys who are killing the field to a car where they can't do that. Job done.

Man I hate seeing people fight, even when I start it, so let's just fix this once and for all and move on PLEASE.
 
If we're going to go through with my suggestion, times should be posted here by midnight tomorrow night to allow time for the 3 GT-R drivers time to tune the car properly.

Aveena, I don't know what is an "even field", to be honest...

like what I've stated in the previous post, all those 3 options can make an even field, if you ask me, I say there's no even field in motor racing.

with all 12 drivers cross the line at the same time, does that mean an "even field"?? I really really don't know buddy...


Different racing league have different regulations to control the field thus no one is too fast than the other, added ballast, reverse starting grid, budget cap.

but at the end of the day, the best combination wins.


really, if you ask me what is my point of view on "even field", I say there's none.


do you think putting Vettel in a Marussia and Erisson in a Mercedes will make an "even field"??

add balllast to the Mecedes til the Caterham can catch them up is "even field"???

no one can predict and no one can say it.



Racing is a combination of everything, you have the fastest car doesn't mean it will guarantee you a winner, it helps, of course, but not guarantee.


Mercedes F1 is the fastest car at the moment, but it just lost to Ferrari in Malaysia, because of a wrong strategy, they have Hamilton, one of the fastest too, so why they lost? it's the pit stop, it's they don't have an extra set of medium for Hamilton on his last stint.


Anything can happen during a race...


but saying "oh.. this car is 2 sec faster, it's not fair...."


it's not fair to say that because the race haven't even started yet and who know what's gonna happen in the race?

Maybe I choose the wrong tires during pit stop, or wrong fuel number...

or I spin out every 3 laps because I under-estimate the difficulty of the challenge.





I wasn't as fast as today back in Jan (the Daytona), but racing and intensive testing really makes me a faster driver, ask Mphile and Manny how many miles I put in for the Tokyo event, TONS.

so yes, when I was an average drive back in Jan, I can keep up with the group in the Ford...

but 2 months later, I am faster, so it looks like I am bloody fast in the Ford...

but hey, I still can only do a 1:57 in the Ford and 1:58 in a Viper.. lol





buddy, race is 2 weeks away, let's put this aside and use these time and effort to squeeze ourselves on the track!!

we will have fun, that... I guarantee!!

We are racing a GT3 class were making an even field is done for years. You can look that up if you are unclear.

We are here for the racing not for showing off some new technology for the world like they do in F1 even in F1 they are trying to make the cars even in a season.
Douple deffuisor or F-Schacht anyone? and many more prohibted during a season.

Also Vettel complained hard after the first GP which lead to an invotation from Rosberg to visit the Merc garage etc.

I just did not get one single reason why the cars shouldnt be at the same pace if it is possible besides "MY TOY GOT NERFED GIEVE MY TOY BACK"
 
What I did on normal Tuesday night
I open public lobby under S.A.C. 500pp road car sport soft
Set up average time on track
wait for people join in and see how they run
If they are slower than me, I switch different car to race with them
But some 🤬 fast but you know what
after 2 hours and we all had fun:cheers:

If you guys can't sort your 🤬 out you can kiss goodbye to the endurance series. It's for mature racers.
It's not set up for this kind of thing, which is frankly embarrassing.

@tarkus1 this is your club but I know you can't always be around. If you think I'm out of line please say so.

Ugh, it is honestly really disheartening to see this all going on. I know I may have added fuel to the fire but I just want it to all stop and that had been my intent. We're a club that enjoys racing above all else right? It kinda has stopped feeling that way over the last week as our practicing has begun to ramp up, and it makes me want to walk off and form the final TCN-1 team on my own.

So please anyone who's picked up sword and shield in the last week, lay them down. We're a club, we're supposed to be friendly to each other. The endurance series is where we're supposed to take the fight, but only in speed.

I'll leave you with this to think about tonight: Since GT still sells in gamestop it is a game, now think of what any parent would say. You're getting this worked up over a game?

Were all too 🤬 bonkers on tjger series and comment the whole nine 🤬 yards about it on this(lets do this lets do that) it pulls the fun out of casual night when the time comes because were looking at how 🤬 fast were doing in a different club. We got the best group of casual racers around but when it comes to everything else were a bunch of crazy 🤬 🤬. 3-4 months ago I would of been all in for the GTP Endurance series now i only turn GT6 on twice a week. Finishing my Rant tjger Endurance series was good but the majority of us went ape 🤬 on it and i respects tjger decision (if he goes threw with it)

Also Lets all show up tomorrow/thursday turn the boost off and lets 🤬 race like we normally do and lets become better racers all around. show up drink a few whatever we all drink and lets have some G.🤬 fun its CASUAL night.

Wow, took me a while to get through all this and that's from earlier in the day today. I can't imagine if I didn't sign on for days...
Anyway, this stops NOW!
I love the fact that we all get on here and BS about numerous things that sometimes aren't even Gt related. But when this bickering starts then just continues like it has, it really does make me sad. I know that sounds silly but I love that when we all get together we're like old friends, having fun racing and drinking and joking around like we don't have a care in the world outside of Gran Turismo. So lets stop the crap and next time something like this comes up, please try and work it out through a PM and not bring everyone else into it.

Unfortunately I have no input on what really transpired or which direction things should go as it's basically related to the Endurance races and unfortunately I have not been able to be involved. But either way, it stops here.

Now let me get back to posting the agenda for tomorrow. And when I say "get back to" I really mean "starting".
 
Good thing I have a short memory. Maybe it's the alcohol or maybe it's having been dropped on my head numerous times as a child. Either way the crap is over and it's time to get back to fun...
Yes, you guessed it, casual night agenda time. Very similar to peanut butter jelly time but not quite.
race 1 - We start in Deep Forest with 500PP any car you like.
race 2 - VFT and 525PP any car
race 3 - VFT and 550PP any car
race 4 - yes, midfield mayhem is back. you guys know the deal.
race 5 - midfield winner picks next pp level and VFT (any car)
race 6 - VFT 575PP any car.
race 7 - Vision GT race at 600PP and VFT.
race 8 - VFT with 600PP cars but NO Vision GT cars.
race 9 - one make race and VFT. Car TBD prior to track vote.
Race 10 - VFT and lap number increases to 10 (depending on track of course cuz I'm not doing 10 laps at The Ring at midnight) 500PP any car.
race 11- unsanctioned SAC race - This is officially off the record. Since I'm not working the next day I will keep the lights on in Daytona to get me ready for my trip there next week.

the only BS used on this night will be for Midfield and Daytona should we actually run this race.
 
Im at a golf outing thurs after work so i will miss again sorry tarkus. Buuuuuut maybe in my drunken stupper i can log on torwards the end and catch the dirty stuff!! Maybe i will c u guys, if not have fun and post pics!!
 
It's really remarkable how our group always comes together after our little rabbit trail frustrations... It really speaks to our common goals and fair personalities....

Not that we need to keep doing it!!!!!!!

But sht always balances itself out for the good!!

TO make this public, I've had Tarkus seed a few races here and there from older STTR themes of my choice. The club is going to shut down in a few months.




As for everyone else, holy ****. I'm the kid here and I'm not going to have any of this bickering about the balancing. Suck it up and move on, so poor @MRTeam doesn't have to deal with you lot.
