This quick race(5laps) around Suzuka East was fun for me.

OK gentlemen.
Just to refresh your minds.
July 10th, July 17th, and July 24th are scheduled as Casual Nights. Agenda(s) are in works with a possible exception....;)

July 31st is definitely scheduled as the Tour of Japan GT 300 class. Post 955 has all the details.

August 28th is our Grand Event. 50 laps around Suzuka Circuit. GT 500 Endurance Event.
So here is the vehicle eligible list. The official Announcement Sheet will be posted later.

This announcement is for everyone who want to start building the bank account.

On Casual Nights I mix up the PP numbers with One Make races. I think it helps drivers evaluate their own driving skills. Of course steering wheels and DS3 controls also play a part.

I've gotten several suggestions to get away from one make races. Driving a free car for five laps is starting to bored us.
One suggestion I've gotten is to pick a certain car and the PP number.

So for instance I pick the '69 Camaro Z28 and 560 PP. You guys go out and purchase a '69 Camaro and tune it to your liking and race it. You can spend however much credits you need to be competitive.

Since each Casual Night has at least three One Make races. You could spend at least 300,000 credits per week.

Good idea?

You guys decide.

instead of picking out a particular car, why not picking out a particular drivetrain instead?

ie, MR with xxxPP, FF with xxxPP, or FR with xxxPP

That would eliminate the 'locked to a specific car' problem. The main reason I choose one make races is to give drivers a break from purchasing and tuning cars. It also let's drivers experience different car/track combinations.
Raising our credit account level is tough for some of us.

Main Events planned for the future.
Tour of Japan GT 300 roughly 500,000(some drivers have purchased all five cars 250,000)
Suzuka Endurance GT 500 roughly 1,200,000(some of us have at least three 3,600,000)
Tour of Europe GT 2/3 roughly 600,000
Tour of U.S. US race cars. roughly 600,000

That's a lot of credits that drivers need. Roughly more than 4 million credits(minimum) and we still have November and December.

Ok, for now I'll wait for any more suggestions and see what everyone else thinks. I can probably put together a mixture of everyone's ideas.

So for everyone out there, just be ready. If we start this Thursday. The cars will be cheap with low PP.

The Honda Fit will be on the list for starters. :eek::eek::eek: At 650 PP Oh yeah. The track GT Arena :lol::lol::lol::lol:

I suggest we limit the driver the stick with only one car of his choice for the particular tour.

In this way, the driver will have to learn and tune the single car to different tracks.

they can still buy the numbers of cars they want to test and see which one they like the most, then pick the best one for the whole tour.

Picking one car and setting it up for the Tour's five tracks.
In the real world, teams always bring a back up car in case....

In case someone has a bad accident. ie: Grand Valley last Thursday Night.
I shouldn't expect the driver I slammed into be forced to use that same car for a mistake I made.
Granted it was Casual Night, but had it been a Main Event or Grand Event. Both of us would have been out of contention for the rest of the race.

As far as someone bringing a different model car as a backup car. My focus is racing, nothing else.

Casual Nights will always be casual/fun for everyone.
For me, it's another night of working. Watching and taking notes. To plan the next race. So if I find myself out front, I really, really, honestly don't know what I'm doing. Because I can't watch everyone else.

Main Events will be a little more serious, but with the fun side still there.
For me, it's another night of working. Watching and taking notes. To plan,blah, blah, blah.So if I find myself out front, I really, really, think I doing something great. I really enjoyed myself in the Tour of Japan and Europe. The Tour of US.
Another story for another day.

Grand Events will be the serious side of racing.
For me, it's a day out of the office. Behind the wheel and listening to my girls telling me how to drive. My focus is on racing, nothing else.

The only thing I can say is....like I said at Lemans.

"If you find yourself chasing my Viper Oreca, you have done something wrong."

Our Grand Event at Suzuka is less than two months away. My Team has already set up shop.

I should be over there with them now, but I'm sitting in the office working on next weeks Casual Night(s) agendas.
Ok, time to relax and make some long distant phone calls.

Remember the BOSS's moto, Spinning Arrows will always be 90% fun, 10% serious, seriously.

That's why I work hard.
