Think I know of what may have caused it. The spoiler title is single line only. If the text exceeds the width of the screen in use it'll just show the ... and does not give the rest of the text on cursor hover. Hmm. That changes things a little for the post I'm working on.

That's correct, it's a single line dynamically truncated based on the width of the container.

Since the "target audience" for spoilers is mobile users who don't want to wear their fingers or screens out scrolling, I reckon that's as good a method as any to "limit" titles to titles and not paragraphs of commentary.
