Why does the Spoon S2000 race car have such I high rev limit? I think the rev limiter hits at about 12,000rpm. Why is this? Oh and is it a six speed manual or a sequential shift tranny?

S2000s in general have high rev limits... it's the VTEC honda engine, it's renowned for reving so highly.

well I know that, an average stock s2000 revs at about 8500-9000rpm I was just wondering if it was normal that the needle is always in the rev line which is between 9000-1350rpm

It is a 2 liter engine purpose-built for endurance racing making a bit over 300 horsepower without any form of forced induction. To make that sort of power, you need those kind of revs.
Keep in mind that the RPM range is well in line with vehicles with similar HP/L numbers, like the Spoon Civic Type R, the Spoon Integra Type R and the old DTM racers.

The Spoon S2000 race car is an interesting vehicle in the GT series, because GT5 is the first game that the car has been featured in where it hasn't been so glitched that it is unraceble.
In GT3 and GT4, it was supposed to rev to 11500, and it made peak power at 11000, but the car was glitched to only be able to rev to 9000 (meaning it was completely useless compared to any of the other tuned S2000s in the game, because it couldn't come near the peak power number). The really long red zone on the tach of the car is likely a result of fixing that glitch, but forgetting to reset the RPM range as it is displayed. This isn't really a problem, though, because if you drive it in Automatic mode it still shifts in the proper place.
