I was wondering, if everyone upgrade everything to Racing then what's the point of having Sport/Semi-Racing upgrade available? Especially the Suspension. Well If anyone know the benefit of having Sport/Semi-Racing(SR). Reply Back ^^; ThX!

The racing parts have a better effect on the track than the semi sports and sports parts.

Welcome to GTP, By the way.

THere are people that enjoy a challenge and, in many cases, we don't upgrade to the maximum. Yes, we can have more fun in a 300hp car that in an 1881 hp car.

Thx. Yeah I know they are better, but why they even bother putting those in there when they are super cheap and lousy?

I split my cars into 2 different things.

  • Teh type to contend againest the AI with a challenge.
  • Teh other to destory my friends in.

No need to close it. Welcome to GTPlanet, Vietorius.

The Sport and Semi-race items can be used to simulate different classes of production car racing, where rules might make some modifications illegal or limit how far you can change settings. These rules aren't in the game, but I'm sure that PD meant for people to use these parts for their own satisfaction.

The are also very useful in the beginning of the game, where you have little money. In fact, I hope money is harder to win in GT4, to make you choose upgrades more carefully.

I've never really used anything less than best, I'll have to pull the ol' Mini out the 'rage for this one, need to see how nice it is with upgrades I could get for a realy Mini. And yes, at the begining when you have no money and can't win no matter what you do, a semi-racing exhaust is much better than 1000 sunday cups.
