Well, imo to avoid that you just need to qualify with a fast time, after that it's ok, if you end up starting the race below 6th place you will get in the middle of the mess. the thing is that players think that they can win by knocking the others out. hopefully they will understand that, it is only good for the immediate places, but it will make him lose time and will never be able to reach the top positions...

Drive defensively. I protect my S skill rating by letting drivers by who are tailing me very closely or giving drivers ahead who are erratic plenty of room.

What is this game for, a racing sim or a taking your kids to school simulator? Bit sad that you don't want to even race for position.

I adapt to my opponents, if they drive clean so do i, if they drive like idiots i join those *****, cause the rating doesent do anything to the game, there are no benefits to have an a or s rank, sometimes i have players with an s rank who cant hold their line or crash into you on every brakingpoint and on the other hand there are people with an a rank or less who drive perfectly clean an fair, this whole system is useless at the moment just ignore it....

I'm A/S and I've noticed that if I start up front (1-6) usually there's no issue. If I start a 10th or lower, it's usually a bit messy right in the first corner.

A lot of people seem to think they will somehow get better than everyone else on track once the race starts, despite having made slower qualifying laps. It's just stupid. The likelihood of someone from the back being successful at overtaking on the first corner is 100% proportionally inverse to the likelihood of ruining someone's race.

Lots of games are playable. Doesn't mean they don't have issues.

Never said that it didn't have any issues :-). Almost every game has some issues that someone's going to have a problem with, and as a ex programmer, I am very much aware that no video game has ever been completely finished as well :-)

It’s playable. It’s just that the wrong people get the penalties. If you’re a clean racer, you invite disaster as they’ll see opportunities and jump on your car like crazy in corners. Keeps happening at Interlagos today. Got pushed on the grass as I was giving more than enough space. Got brake tested on a straight by a mad Mustang as he tough I was the guy who hit him. Got thrown on the grass in last sector by two sloppy vipers as I was leading. It’s tough having to deal with humans but that’s what Kaz calls ‘’human drama’’

Got crashed again... argh... SR now at A...

I feel like there is some sort of "must pass" mentality when players start races in the middle or near the end of the pack.
It's rather annoying when you're in the top 5, first corner you're taking it easy so everyone can get through smooth and some asshat comes flying up the inside expecting to pass 5 people who were going "slower" than they need to.

The most frustrating thing is when you get punted deliberately, not by someone making a mistake, and then you take a hit to SR and a time penalty. When this happens I just give it back to them and screw the SR rating

Interlagos last night was my first rage quit. Qualified mid pack. The scenarios in the two previous posts (must pass mentality and taking you out even though you gave the line and plenty of room) were in full force. I was out of the race before the end of the first lap.

First corner. Braking slightly early to leave a buffer zone ahaed. Punted but managed to stay on track and only lost one position.

Going into the hairpin after the long swooping right a guy made a man move on the inside. He had me so I gave him the inside line only to have him take it wide anyway and push me off track losing 3 more spots.

The final straw was a black Jaguar that decided I needed to be pit maneuvered because I passed him clean on the final hairpin.

I took him out and quit.

Did the manufacturers race just now and a Mitsubishi player pushed off two people, including me, and blocked me with an horrible attempt on the last lap. It gave me a time penalty and he didn't get anything for it. It made him gain a position so his behaviour was instead rewarded. I put in consistent lap times during the entire race and gained 5 positions, yet I was the one who got the penalty and lost two positions.

I tried to write him after the race, which of course was impossible due to him having a privacy setting, as with all players who drive like absolute crap.

SR S should be SR A, SR A should be SR B and so on. At the moment there are plenty of dirty drivers with SR S. It should be way harder to get it.

It doesn't help that everyone starts with SR B. What's the point in that? You drive 20 races clean, death last, and you'll get SR S. lol.
