I tried to include many companies in the poll and see GTPlanet's inclination.

For me, I love Aston Martins. It's their clean lines, straighforward but also with attitude. Not too fancy, but immensely interesting at the same time. I want an Aston Martin Virage in Sutherland red please! :drool:
The rest of their line is fabulous too, the perfect designs for me!

It's really hard to chose one. I chose Corvette, simply because my car would be smug towards me if I didn't. If I didn't own a car, I would probably go with Ferrari.
 
Mazda for me, all the way.

To be honest, initially I intended to include just pure sport brands like Ferrari, Lotus e.t.c. Afterwards, Toyota I thought would be redundant because there is Lexus.
 
Definitely not Porsche, and anyone who thinks differently to that must be crazy.

Shouldn't Lexus be made redundant by Toyota? They're all rebadged Toyotas with the exception of the LF-A.

I most associate with Toyota, since I drive one. And they've made some terrific sports cars.

What would that be?
The Mustang is a pony car, the GT is a super car, the Torino is a muscle car.. & I wouldn't call the Thunderbird a sports car either. I suppose the RS200 and GT40 are sports cars, not designed in America though.

Aston makes GT cars, the R8 is arguably a supercar, Ferraris are GTs and supercars... I don't think the OP is taking the term "sports car" that seriously in its discrimination.

For me, the 911 is always the first thing to pop into my head when I hear the phrase "sports car."
 
I'm split between Porsche, Lotus and Mazda. Went for Mazda in the end as I've owned an MX-5, but Porsche and Lotus were close.

Porsche of course bcause it's a true sports car and it's turbo Engines are awesome I Also like the ferrari and the TVR ' Nissan Skyline GTR And Aston martin and Lambo and Dodge Viper and lastly the corvette and The Honda NSX

Isn't Corvette a brand in Europe since no one would want one as a Chevy?

I've never really owned any sports cars so I can't really relate to any of them. If I was going to buy something sporty though I'd probably look to Lotus.

I'm sure they can. Saying so and not being true is false advertizing. The Miata definitely helps with this I'm sure. They are mostly talking about grassroutes racing (local track events, autocross, spec Miata, etc) combined with their factory backed efforts in endurance racing and spec racing.

Well, I'm not saying it's not true, and I suspect that it's actually impossible to determine... but I would certainly bet against it. I really don't recall seeing that many Mazda's racing...
 
I'm sure they could give you an explanation but I won't be able to give it to you cause I have no idea how they came up with it. :)

That appears to be what they based it on... 1500, hell of a number... ...
