Lot of stuff happened. Bought a P10 Primera with SR20DE, and I'm currently not using it.
I'm hoarding some E30s right now and recently built some RM012 and RS070 for the cars.

The cars look great @a112 hope you are enjoying the E30s and we would like some photos of the Primera. ;) Take care of yourself over there! :D

Just browsed through the entire thread! A proper enthusiast here! Takes me back to when I was messing about with small hatches hehe.

And kudos on those wheel restorations! Some day I will find a set of 3 piece Hartge's for my E34 and restore them like this.

Thanks for the kind words!

Some more photos of the red 318is. I'm finally going to buy S14B23 next weeknd for the Diamantschwarz car. Wish me luck!

After a season of driving the E30, I decided that I need some other car from the scene that could be a demo car for the wheel obsession, so here it is.

1985 MK2 diesel with GTI look and AFN TDI swap. Car is on GTI brakes and new coilovers, currently sitting on Speedline Mistral 8x17 ET24 w/14mm adapter in front and 30mm in the rear. Latest purchase is the leather Recaro from Polo 6N Colour Concpet that I'm installing as soon as I get some spare time from work.

After a season or two of stancing, I decided that it's time to stop doing that. It's nice to drive a stanced car, but I really like to use my car properly so I'm rebuilding the SR20DE for the Primera. I would like some wheels and good stance, but I would rather have a properly fast car for a change. There are no mods at the moment, but I have some plans to purchase some programmable ECU to get the max from the standard engine. Next would be playing with headwork and some bolt ons, maybe ITB eventually.

Not my sort of thing usually but it looks very well done and it's an interesting idea to soup up a Mk2 diesel.

👍

I miss my Golf. That thing probably goes like stink with that diesel. 👍

It really pulls strong as the car is very light. There is no turbo lag at all and fuel consumption is about 5-6L/100Km normal driving or 8-10L/100Km on full load (200-220KM/h).

Anyway, SR20 is finished and ready to go inside the P10. I bought KDFI SA ECU based on MS2 and compared the intake ports on the S14B23 E30 M3 ITB's. The ports are pretty much matched, diameter is ideal for street engine (46mm). Only thing that bothers me is the length of the intake. I need to find some Euro S50 E36 ITB's to measure as these are angled upwards. My firewall is damn close to the engine.

Last year with the P10 was great. I did about 20000+ miles with the car. Renewed the suspension and brakes, bought a set of winter tires and everything. I have to sort something with the brakes. I'm constantly warping the rotors as I'm driving it hard whenever I have the chance as I strongly believe that's the proper usage of this car. I wouldn't do the big brake kit, it would ruin the overall balance of the car under hard braking. If someone has a good idea for some performance rotors and pads in Europe, I'm all ears.

I also drove a huge amount of various cars including MA70 Supra Turbo, Volvo 850 T5-R, 2ZZ-GE ToyotaSport Corolla, various BMWs etc. I even drove passenger in K20 EG and stuff like that and everytime used this P10 as a benchmark, and for me personally, it's still the best allround for my needs and preferences.

I never felt like this about any car. I love it with my whole heart, soul and mind. In fact, I love it so much I wanted to buy another daily so I can preserve the chassis by driving it less, but I would miss the whole point of the car, wouldn't I?

Suspension is slightly modified and stiffened for road use, track setup wouldn't work where I live. This is faster.
Plans are probably some good rubber for the summer, Had Toyo R1R in mind.

Also, we did a run with the MA70 Turbo and they are indentically fast 'till about 200KM/h. It felt strange since the SR20DE is rated at 150HP. Although I have closer ratio transmission vs the OEM P10, still it wasn't making any sense.
I read on few boards that UK redtop engines had more power than rated hence the stainless extractors, slightly more agressive cams and flat pistons. I will dyno the car when I get a chance.

Not sure if they sell them in Europe, but Brembo sells blank and slotted rotors that are pretty good. I had the slotted ones on my 2000 Sentra SE (SR20) and ran that car hard in the canyons every weekend with the occasional track day. No issues.

I'll look into it, thanks. I had EBC in mind, but whatever works is good.

I'm in the process of getting new rotors for my Max (I cracked one) and DBA make some really nice ones and are available in Europe. EBC is also a great option.

EBC, Pagid are great options. Just watch out on the min Temp.

Nice thread bump from our wheel collector. YOu should update more ;)

I should probably, but I'm not doing anything other besides driving :D

About the wheel collection, I was hoarding more than 50 sets of multipiece wheels at once. I've had enough. :D

I can't find any decent set for my own car, that's the real issue lately.

Something that recently happened, I'm building a set of 16" wheels with 30 bolt centers for an E30

Where did you even find all of those wheels? I'm forever looking for sets and I either can't find any or they're too expensive!

There was a time when wheels were cheap enough due to uninformed owners. That time is long gone.

Anyway I'm building a set of OZ Futuras for the Primera, also some new stuff came in the mail.
