Sweet - yay! I wont be able to race this Thursday, and probably not next week, either. I'll be able to race most Friday nights since we tend to go out on Sat nights.

When you guys run on Friday nights do you run with fixed setups or open setups - or are there even an option to run fixed setups in PC? I've actually only hopped in one online race with PC and it was a wreck-fest, so I never ventured into the random lobbies again.

Ok gang tonight we fire up another series! We are cruising right through one after another. BR has assembled this next series, should be a good one! I will see everyone about 7pm est for the opening of practice before race one. As of now i know we will be missing Raccier , Sam is a maybe, but I think the rest of us are all good. Let me know if ya cant make it in so i can invite others to fill up some of the holes, thanks!
 
sorry guys Ive been MIA lately. work has been CRAZY, I did 73 hours last week, 68 the week before, yadayadayada. One of the old timers in the shop just up and quit / retired without notice and on top of that we just landed a big contract which means the work load has basically doubled - so I've been trying to keep up with everything. I keep thinking I can get home and onto PS4 every Tuesday, but somehow something always comes up. But - they finally found someone new to hire.... so now things can get back to normal. (which is good cuz I'm about to die)

Anyhow my boss basically ordered me to go on a paid vacation for a week, so I'm gonna do just that! I'll be back after the 8th or so, and then I'll finally be able to race with you guys again. just thought I'd pop in and give u a heads up. see ya soon.

Holy-mega tight racing! There were packs all over the place in the first two races of the series! Congrats to @GLOBALMENACE for nabbing a pole position from the untouchable @Samsung1998race. Let's do it again next week fellas!

Yeah that was a crazy night for sure!! Some tight battles for 4,5,6, &7 th place i was watching on my map. Im a bit lost as to what our top 2 guys are doing, how do we make up 2seconds :banghead:. Great job sam and global for straight kicking our butts 👍.

PS4K is real and will be coming soon enough. The message can be read in 2 different ways, regular PS4 users will get regular visuals and PS4K games will look better or PS4K will look just about as good as PS4 and PS4 will sacrifice on visuals for games made for 4K.

Upscaling goes without saying. It won't be that different than running a PC game on Standard or Ultra settings. The extra power is going to enable games to be played at higher (4K) resolutions. There will likely be a patch available to enable native 4K resolutions of games, otherwise they run normal 1080p. Nothing about the games themselves is going to change except visuals.

Not sure why some people are freaking out. People knew what they were getting when they bought PS4s, they're not entitled to jack.

The way i see it, if you dont want change then keep running old systems and old games. Im all about change and advancement towards the future of gaming. I want the most bang for my buck, the best real feel, the best visual effects, so im excited for new and improved going forward! Some guys dont like it, some can't afford it , and i get that, but they will never stop changing prices & changing us from having to buy new products to keep gaming! It is what it is and we have to pay to play, and it ain't going to stop here. Just think we will all be wearing fancy headsets within the next couple of years, and the tv will no longer be needed, thats crazy to think about!

I just don't see why a half generation is necessary just to make 4K available, it's not like the TVs that have it are really that affordable yet anyway.

I'm not against it, but I don't see why it's necessary/Sony thinks the time is right to release it.

The OP of the NeoGAF thread said later on something like late Q1 next year as an early projection but that it's bound to change. On the bright side GT Sport looks set to be coming out when PSVR does and will support it. So hooray for October.

Sony is trying to capitalize on a market that doesn't yet have a lot of mainstream, easily accessible content. Bringing a 4K capable, easy to use gaming console to market will help the TV business. Guess what other consumer electronic items Sony sells. ;) Not to mention the movie studios they own that will release 4K bluray movies later this year.

Contrary to belief, the price of 4K TVs has fallen much faster than any previous iteration of TVs I've seen, and I've been selling TVs for 10 years.

Awesome... SMS is going to charge us $5 to put two tracks already in the game together. Can't wait to be done with these clowns. We've already given them so much money and we continue to get hosed. :crazy:

I know there was a bit of talk about maybe trying some different thing on Fridays and I figured I would put this out there.



I recorded that myself about 2 hours ago and it's tons of fun. The game is in Early Access on Steam, but they really want to bring it to consoles too.
