SRT/10 Turn-In Question

I've got a fully decked SRT/10 that I'd like to turn-in a little better. Not looking for drastic amounts of oversteer, in fact, I'm not looking to alter the mid-corner attitude of the car at all, I just really want the front tires to bite better on turn in.

I've been fudging with toe and camber a bit but all I've been successful at doing is making the car a beast to drive in a straight line ... without making a dent in it's ability to dive to the apex. I'm not a Ford fan and really don't want to start using my GT more often than my Viper, but dammit that GT goes exactly where you point the front wheels and I'd love for my SRT to do the same.

Any suggestions?

I tuned this car for over 2 hours and couldn't make a dent in its cornering ability. It's up there with the Yellow Bird for "massive tuning challenges".

I'd suggest another car! ;)

Nah ... I can't get rid of it, the Viper and me have been a conquering pair since GT1, it will never go :)

It's cornering ability isn't exaclty bad. The car generates an absolute ton of speed so its deceiving to say the least when you have to slow down as much as you do for a corner, but it carrys as much midcorner speed as others cars in its weight/tire/downforce class. The only thing it really lacks is front-end bite.

Forever frustrating. I just spent 2 hours with the Viper and I'm more frustrated than before. I decided to try what everyone was saying in the "Are the physics backward?" threads (despite some of the ridiculous comments about real motorsport physics). I was successful in changing the front-end bite a bit, but when I took it the track, I found that overall grip was way down and my mid-corner and exit speeds had suffered drastically. I was losing around a second a half a lap around Deep Forest (good track to test turn-in).

I'm back to my original settings and will wait to see if anyone else comes up with something amazing. The car is so easy to drive with the throttle, I guess I'll just stick to what's been working so far. Guess I'll start upgrading that Ford while I'm at it.

LSD
TQ 7

LSD 24

Breaks 4/4

No downforce as I couldnt put a wing on a Viper (personell choice)

Ass for the, driver assisstance, thats based on your own preference, some like to use them some dont, the choice is up to you.

Hope they work out for you, if you have any feedback let me know, I will always work to improve them.

Thanks!

She sticks tight in the turns and shes tight under hard breaking, Im usuallt WOT from. the apex out.

Ive raced her a few times and The Settings are Good (I willl still work on em) But The Viper loses tread quick and once gone she is a ***** (she not my favorot car for tracks with tire ware(the whole game), or at all for that matter. The Old style Looks nicer in my opinion, I would sugest the GT, but thats just me...

Check out my other settings for the Ford GT (the thread is availible still) HERE!
