For a project at work I am trying to build a chart in PowerPoint (2003) that will have two sets of data represented in stacked columns. I have managed to do it in Excel, but the request from above was for it to be made in PowerPoint, and not even imported from Excel. After going through every person in the office who may know, I am at a loss. Microsoft's online tutorial shows how to put single sets of data in stacked columns, but I need it to show two stacked columns.

This is what it should look like. This is the Excel created chart. Ignore the red line, it is tracking from the percentages on the left axis.

Sorry about the white space at the bottom, but I just did a quick screenshot and removed all company related data in Paint.

I've done some other searching online, but thre are more third party programs designed to relieve the "cumbersome and difficult" process of making charts in PowerPoint than actual information on how to do it.

Any help that puts me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

I am just curious, but why are you against importing from Excel? Powerpoint wasn't really made to do charts, and Excel... its kinda how Office was designed.

Because the COO of my company said not to use Excel because he wants it designed in PowerPoint, which he believes has "more powerful tools."

This after I spent a day gathering the data and then built it in Excel and then imported it into his PowerPoint.

He wants the PowerPoint chart, using the built in Microsoft Graph data sheets, which look like Excel but are far less user-friendly.
