I just recieved a reply to my email regarding the Kotaku GT5 article. This is what I wrote (I apologize for some minor brown-nosing :

I've been following your website for quite a while now, and all I can say is thumbs up! .
I just read your E3 article on GT5, and I have one question, if you don't mind .
It's about this segment of the article:
"The developers have created fully modeled interiors for the Premium cars, as well as doing detailed modeling for the car's undercarriage and even the exhaust pipes! The Standard cars apparently won't have the exact interior modeling. For example, an Enzo's interior will look like the real deal, but your typical Mustang's will look like exactly like Mustang's."
Maybe you have noticed, but there has been quite a lot of fuss regarding the recent announcement of Premium and Standard cars in GT5, and if the latter have cockpit view or not. What you write in the above segment indicates that the standard cars do indeed have a cockpit/dashboard view, just not nearly as detailed as the premium cars.
Could you by any chance clarify this? Because according to some other articles, it suggests that the Standard cars don't have any form of cockpit/dashboard view. So do the standard cars have some sort of a cockpit/dashboard view? Also, if you happen to know, are the Standard cars simply upscaled GT4 models, or have the car models been improved so thy don't look out of place in a race with premium cars?

That's correct. And that's why I wrote it.
He didn't comment on if the standard cars would be simply upscaled GT4 models or not, but this indicates that the standard cars should have a cockpit view, just not with the same amount of details as the premium cars.

Question This is another question to the GTP community where does it say Preium cars will have cockpit view in any text interview or information dealing with GT5. We know the Preiums cars have cockpit race views because we have actually played and seen them. Lets give the standards cars a chance to be fully driven and examined. As i said before if we go by the text we have read during the day its not really lying Premium cars will have interior views that will be fully recreated and visible standard cars will not have corresponding interiors
EX Standard Model:
If you look at the interior of these cars would you say that is a fully detailed interior that is fully replecated or a interior that doesnt correspond with its real life counter part

As i said before if you take the information and match it up with the info we have seen so far it matches up Standard have generic looking interiors that do not replicate its real life counterpart(This is the reason for the blacked out windows), and premium cars have fully detailed interior that represent it real life counterpart to the last stitch (this is why during replay mode you can see through the glass the interior have been fully recreated piece by piece) this doesn't mean we will have no cockpit driving view for the standard cars IMO
( I am hoping this is the same case for the cockpit driving view. Standard cars have generic cockpits and preium have cockpits that mimic their real life counterpart I will not loose hope yet

This is my problem please i need the true gt fans to hear me on this. When i 1st signed up to this site i loved how mature and grown the people, and conversation were. i loved how when people got to crazy about new details folks would tell them don't speculate wait until we get officials new,s or try to figure out some info with many ways to look at the situation.
We have been waiting for E3 for a long time. Right before E3 it was broadcasted that we were going to be disappointed, for the fact of we were going to get very little information with no video footage. From that GT members broadcasted the news and the forums went crazy. So damn crazy they started a rage thread. I remember alot of true members saying atleast start the thread when The E3/Sony conference is over and we get no footage. In the end was he right.. NOPE. In the End E3 was the Bomb!! This was a case of people getting New news and automatically taking it to heart or whats the new motto i see here in GTP believe in the worst 1st
So that blew over however the big bad cockpit debate came on. In the honda tittwer Interview Kaz said something about black out cockpit right away people said no cockpit no cockpit. the way i took this was a miss translation and kaz just agreeing about the GT psp blacked out cockpits many others agreed this to me was still not enough info for me that it was no cockpits.
People seemed to chill after that however someone come on here and posted Its official there is no cockpits, then gave a link to the japan website which he said it said it "no cockpit view" with Japanese writing. When i heard the news i was devastated right after that i had to read the news for my self. i have google chrome so i knew i could translate the website when i translated the website it said this.

When reading the two and comparing both descriptions and also looking at the premium picture and the standard car pic this is my conclusion
The standard cars interiors cannot be seen while watching a replay(reason for the blacked out interiors) also when in cockpit view((im praying so bad we get some type of cockpit view) it will not match that cars actual interior it will be a generic version.
The premium cars interior will be visible through replay mode and cockpit mode fully detailed to the T. In conclusion i think Standard cars will have cockpit mode 👍
So there you have please friends please feel free to express you thoughts on the whole ideal in a mature matter thank you.

GUYS, i finally got some news from IronStar staff
They interviewed GT5 staff at E3
and YES GT5 standard cars will have COCKPIT VIEW!!!
