Since I've always been a huge fan of this car, it would be nice to see the Altezza RS200 '98 comeback in super premium glory.

It's certainly not as likely to return as a Celica, for example, but it's still a long-running Toyota on the series, so there is a good little chance in my opinion.

Bringing this up as a “new” Best Motoring video was updated in their YouTube archive.


There is the 2003 model in the Suggestions forum. It’d be an FR sport sedan from Toyota that fills a gap between their late 1990 models to late 2000 cars in the game. Adds a car to the UCD and Brand Central, sort of places it in the class as a rival(Super Taikyu N1) of the S2000. Nostalgic liveries would be off the charts. Nice details to explore in PSVR2 to boot.

Another boxy hot hatch elctric thingy, to make a return to Gran Turismo, but the OG cars we need are these brutish triplets.

We can only hope PD can bring back the Lotus Carlton. The other two would be lovely new additions to the franchise.

There are five cars from GT1 that I consider iconic to the first generation of Gran Turismo games (1 & 2) and which haven't been seen since. The Toyota and Nissan particularly deserve updated models, given their unique body kits etc.

The 1800 RS was not sold in Europe and neither in USA. It was sold in Japan only, known as "Roadster".

The 1800 RS also has an option of 160 PS, but it will need an separate page as this thread is for 146 PS version...
