Standard cars; exterior customization gone?

Why not liveries? Makes no difference whether it's a standard car or premium when it comes to liveries.

You would have to make separate meshes and things like that for standard and premium cars. The logos and whatever you put on there, wouldn't look right on one or the other. The reflections and other things on the cars differ enough to make liveries look way different from premium to standard.
That's what it's looking like to me at least. I think premium cars will have over the top customizing, while standard cars will have something along the lines of GT4.

Exactly My thoughts, Im Completely Sure that Standard Models are Just GT4 Models, Just one piece model with Loads of Textures to define Body Lines and separation lines between Panels.

So apllying my Own Logic, that just takes Out of Context Changing Body Parts and Livery Editor.

How will you change only One part of a One piece Model?

Or how will You apply a Texture(Vinyl in this case) in Top of lets say, Panel Separation Lines which are like a Background, and keeping them on Top of the New Texture?

Is it possible that PD could have just remodeled the panel gaps on the GT4 models? Like keep it all one piece but make just the gaps with polygons? It's kinda hard to explain what I mean, but it would make at least a livery editor possible.

Judging by the screenshots on the standard model cars, I think that's highly unlikely.

Interesting points there chepu. I also remember Kaz saying "you can change pretty much any imaginable part of the car" when speaking about premium models. He wasn't talking specifically on the topic of customisation but it obviously raised eyebrows when put in that context.
