Just popped into the OCD tonight and saw that two Lotus cars were unchecked... strange, I thought, I'm sure I had EVERY car, and that those two were Premium models anyway?

But it appears that these 2 are standard models, in the OCD?

Esprit V8 '02
Elise 111R '04

There are two versions of these cars, one standard and one premium.
No idea why they made it like that.

It's cars from the GT PSP port. This has been covered a few times, so expect a few standards of already premium cars.

Ok, but is this "news"?

I remember reading about the TVR Tamora and TVR Speed 6 being both standard and premium a few months ago, but I assumed it was only those two TVRs that existed like this...?

I was more surprised to find this because I thought I had collected every car in the game a long time ago.

For some reason folks like to think the Standards are just models that PD didn't bother modeling interiors. If that was the case, it wouldn't make sense to include two versions of the same car, one with and one without a cockpit unless they just wanted to pad the car list numbers. If that was the case, they could have done it with all the Premiums..., but they didn't. They have duplicates (Standard and Premium) of the models that they had in a past game but then remodeled from the ground up for GT5.

Well, outside the interior and graphic differences, the standard version of those cars get get access to the same wheels that most standards get while the premium version can't. Also, the standard cars get the 3 generic rear wings if they are able to get those parts while the premium car can't.

If for some reason they decide to release the standard Enzo, it could probably get the 3 generic standard wings as opposed to the wing it gets now.

Just a heads up:tup:.

They also made standard versions of the 1954 Benz 300SL and 1969 Z/28 Camaros. And yes the TVRs and now Lotus. All PSP imports 👍

Hey roflcopter,

It (collecting) never ends, I told you hahaha...
Creative PD action...

Have a good day my friend.

Yes Playnthru, sorry, I forgot about mentioning those two cars, I did buy them at the time they appeared though. So 6 "standards" in total so far. 👍

Cheers Outeke, you too! :)

Weren't these from GT4 as well?

I suppose they're collectable since they have identical specs and years to the premo versions. Just like the C6 ZR1 and couple others. (And unlike the '05 M5 vs the premo '08.)

I believe they will be on a OCD. Maybe PD wants to make that list true , about the P/S cars.
Or they got the mensage wrong when we said , make standards premium , and instead they understood, make premiums standards! :boggled:

I can add a carbon hood to my premium Lotus Esprit V8 '02 but not my standard.
