Does anybody else just enjoy driving their cars in stock form . Just as they come from the dealer . Don't have anything against tuning at all but with the road cars it just seems to spoil it for me .

I always keep my cars stock except for tires (depending on the race). In some cases, you have to upgrade the cars, so I just use upgrades that I can revert back to stock.

I have a lot of original copies. I like them a lot stock. They're fun and often hard to drive on the edge.

I like to do this with race cars, especially GT300 and GT500 class cars. I give them an oil change only and then "race'em as I got'em" to see how they do. I've been starting to do this more with premium stock cars as well. Especially, the 86 GT '12. A real nice car right out of the gate. 👍

As far if the Road cars 450-550pp'ish go.
Just sport tuning parts To get it to a good pp limit whilst not overdoing it . (exhaust,Intake, lsd :p ). No weight reduction. No engine tune. No wing.
Suspention only if the car hasnt got sporty setup.
Like the M3 CSL dont change suspention at all.
4x4's Lsd And front rear power changable thingy To make it oversteer :p

Premium cars, I have all of them tuned, most with carbon hoods, wings and all and stock versions with the first colors they come in, no oil change, no nothing. As a matter of fact, I made a new favorite list, it's now all my stock premium cars, that way, I only use them in arcade or online, thus preserving them from any "useless" mileage.

If I like a car's drive, I'll keep it stock, but sometimes I really get irked by that built-in understeer, and will tune it out; I'm an oversteer kind of guy. The 2005 & 2007 Minis being the pinnacle of my understeer existence, but I'm not alone, because I've seen a lot of forums in which real life Mini owners complain about massive understeer and how to correct. Unfortunately, one of those fixes isn't available in GT5, as it has to do with adjusting tire pressure. :ouch:

I hope we get a physics update with a more advanced tire modeling.

Yes, lots of us do!! Of course!

I like tuning. I also like Recommended Garage 1-make racing, and Shuffle racing. And it's nice to have some races with tuning prohibited so you can spend more time racing, and less time preparing.

I'm hosting a weekly vintage club tournament with unmodified vintage road cars:
VCRC Tournament #2:

The ORCA club is running a very popular tuning prohibited series:

The Low HP League has added an unmodified kei car sprint race following the regular league races.

There's a GTP Club for No Tune Racing:

And this is just the stuff I know about.
So we're definitely not alone.

Of course. I HATE to tune ferrari or lambo. Tuning is good for mazda, nissan, subaru... japanese cars
