Starting again, DLC questions

I would like to start my GT5 game over again from the beginning as I would like to plan a better approach to the game - (manage the UCD, licences, etc.) - now that I have spent some time on it.

If I delete myself as the only "user" on the console and delete the "saved game" data and the "backup data" will this cause me to loose the DLC I had downloaded, or will it be there when I create a new "user" and use my original PSN account, login and ID.

I have read many posts in the forum on this, but I would appreciate someone helping me out as I still not sure.

Hey mate,

To start a new GT5 game, just backup your current savegame to a USB stick and delete it afterwards from the console.
You will only loose the DLC when you delete the PS3 user and create another account.

I figured instead of starting a new thread I would just ask in this one. I have a similar issue. My ps3 died and instead of repairing it I'm just going to buy a new super slim. Problem is my usb key that had my savegame got wiped out and I have to start over since HDDs are encrypted to individual systems. When I install gt5 on a new system and log into my PSN account will I be able to download all my DLC again? More importantly In the game are my DLC cars going to be blocked because of my starting driver level?

If you use the same account you can download any dlc for any game again, without a problem. iirc the store lets the same account download the item bought 5 times without a problem. After that you would have to speak to sony. Not sure on the 2nd question, sorry.
 
I mean you can't buy cars unless you reach a certain level but DLC cars wind up as tickets so Honestly it would be great to start off with a bunch of GT-Rs and an aventador group c jag etc. I'm not looking to experience building up my profile again, I just want to get back to where I was when I left off.

I meant I didn't know the answer.
 
The level cap only affects to car buying in GT5 , not using them.

Borrow X1 from a friend for example at the very beginning of the career , or receive X2011 Prototype from a ticket. :lol:

can anybody tell me, why they dont just put all the old tracks in one DLC..All the old ones and original tracks and the old rally tracks. Why so difficult. Im just Dying for a new track otherwise GT5 is just laying in dust. Its just too little tracks in the game I wanna feel the tracks from all the other GT's again when I was younger. Somebody has to go talkin too the commisairy. just please at more tracks!!!hell.
And I want to be able to get cash guick so I can buy the XJ13 How can I ever get this car. This could me such great game if there was just more.. offcourse its still the best..

You can get cash quick by doing the online events. the 4wd at le sarthe can net over 1m with the right car. Its very easy to do too and takes 10 mins.
 
Thanks.. Ill try. Never did an online event before, i have the right cars so it shouldnt be difficult. I think the toyota minolta should do the job..
 
Just a suggestion. Why don't you create a new user and start over in that profile. You will still have access to your dlc cars as long as it is in the same ps3
 
That's what I did, second account. If you do you might have to download the Family Share thing from the PSN, it's free and allows dlc to be shared between accounts on the same PS3. I started a second account to start the game over and play from the start again. That way you don't loose any cars and you can actually send yourself cars if you want. I actually sent my main account a few of the early/low level tickets I had used.
 
What if i have my game save on USB, and Sony sent me a replacement PS3, will it let me just drop the game save to the new console and load my game save?
