Hence the reply if you don't like it, don't buy it.
It is the way of the world and life. If you don't like something, you stay away.
I quoted this section of your post because it is the only thing that interested me because of how narrow minded you come off with a statement like that.

Obliviously OP likes Gran Turismo 5 or else he wouldn't be here in the first place. Also you have to buy the Test Course in order to experience what his complaint is about. And of course the biggest thing with games nowadays is that developers really are listening to their audience and what OP's got in this thread is actually a pretty legit oversight. PD wants us to give them feedback, they are indeed watching their audience very carefully.

There is also a whole community of people within GT's fanbase who do think 1/4 mile, 0-60, 0-100, revs and launches are important. These kind of specs are a part of car culture and its something Gran Turismo should offer us fairly and accurately.

^ And you are entitled to your opinion. I would not insult you (as you did me) by saying your insular and parochial in yours.

Don't forget also...

Please stop the whining vs anti-whining war. The OP was about a true problem with acceleration trial, and I added another. One (the 1" to proper rev match) makes the trial.... just more trial&error, the other (starting with cold tires) makes results useless and not comparable with IRL, or between different drivetrain cars.
