The end is here. Life as you knew it has gone to hell after the mother of all zombie outbreaks. Now you and the few scattered survivors must band together to survive and rebuild in a 3rd-person action game set in a dynamic open world. You choose where to make your stand, designing and fortifying your home base, performing daring raids for food and ammunition, and rescuing other playable survivors with unique talents. The open, sandbox world develops in real-time, shaped by your actions, dynamically generating content based on your choices and the ever-increasing zombie threat.

State of Decay is an open world zombie-survival game, currently under development at Undead Labs

This was formally know as Class3/4

Now after playing the cluster.. ehhmm.. mess that WarZ is at least in Alpha due to becoming a FPS PVP shooter and DayZ if not changed going the same route, I will enjoy a nice survival game in Single player.

Because as long as developpers don't get the PVP action right, MMO of this genre will die for the peeps who are after a survival game and not a fragfest.

So I am excited for State of decay.

And it can't be that hard to push people to work togeher in an MMO, give it a morality system, a conscious system (kill to many player and get depressive, need to take pills, get after effects like shaking hands, blurry vision, hearing or seeing things that arent there), that would put an end to the mindless killing.

Ya, just got done reading some of the articles on their page; thanks for posting that. This looks really good. Wish there was more gameplay. Hopefully the PC release isn't that far behind 360; or I may have to buy both.

I am glad Microsoft sees the market value on the PC; as ridiculous as it is to say that. This could have very easily been an end of life XBOX exclusive title; fortunately, we have everyone who built a rig to play DayZ.

Would have preferred some PVP in this game; even though we all know how that works. They should really just make it to where if you are killed by a human player you don't lose everything you have found; but, if you're killed by a zombie you do.

It's coming out on the 5th right?

Does not seem to be a lot of buzz around this?
I'm thinking of getting it if its no more then 20 bucks.

Well it looks like it's got a lot of clipping and the movement of npc's as well as combat looks sloppy but it looks like fun to play and it's the only thing we on consoles have to a survival game.
Plus it's only 20 bucks.

Thread revival time!

Bought this a few days after it released. I have to say, minor bugs and glitches, but overall a very fun experience. I finished the main story and am now experimenting with what it's like in each home base. The Alamo is probably the hardest, since it's in the center of Marshall.

Anyone else bought it?

Just bought this game on Steam, it's pretty fun but I haven't got that far into yet, it is a little buggy with some animations but I haven't experienced anything game breaking yet (Was kind of hoping that there would be more zombies on the Steam version but it seems the same amount as what I've seen from videos of the Xbox version).

But it's a lot more casual and easier to just put on and play than DayZ is which is a plus in my opinion as DayZ requires you to dedicate a lot of time and have a lot of patience to really get into.

I've not picked up the original on 360 yet, but I've been meaning to. Will wait for this for the better experience.
