Those things are quick! I was having a few races with my buddy last night, and he brought on his stealth 787B for circuit de la sarthe (no chicanes) . I have and R34 Skyline VSpec tuned to about 750hp, pretty much every mod to get it there. It top end is at 355km/h. It is an insane car to drive, and Ive designed it to drive like around corners reasonably well also. So, there I am, at the straight. And at top end 355km/h.. and that 787B Just pulls up from behind. Naturally, Im checking the rear view mirror and moving about to prevent him from overtaking me using the slipstream, alas..he overtook me and subsequently won the race. Its impossible to beat that thing! Another race, two of us start in the night, Nurburgring Nordschleife 9pm. I have the same R34, he chooses the stealth Mercedes SLS, So we start, I take the lead. Halfway through,he nudges me of the track, I regain composure, get back on, but in the night, its impossible to catch up. Not even on the final straight! Im reached 320-300km/h and the SLS still kept going! The next race, I won with the Zonda in Monaco, because I bet the 787 still turns like a brick. Anyways, any car (except the Veyron) that I could tune up to take the 787B Stealth on?

don't know, but I have the stealth Nismo and it is a ruthless machine, I WIN with it, thanks Best Buy :)

I would think the GT-R might be able to outhandle the 787. Even if it's top end isn't as high, its cornering ability would give it the upper hand.

You guy do realize that you are attempting to defeat a LeMans prototype with a regular street car? None of the street cars you tune will beat that car on a race course, so don't waste your time. You will need a car equal to the 787B, like any of the other LeMans P1 cars, Pescarolo Judd '05, Audi R8, R10, R92CP, 88C-V and the C9. A reasonable driver in a 787B cannot be beaten with a regular car.

I got beat in my GT500 at Daytona. But then the AI was so stupid, he kept running into me and slowing me down a lot. Got fed up and added max turbo and engine tune for 718hp and smoked them all.

Just upgraded my Audi R10 TDi stealth model, goes up to 380km/h. So yes it can own souped up skylines and gtrs. :) Centre of mass owns weight on front.

The 787b is not a prototype, it is a real car and it won le mans in 1991 ;) then got banned.

Ive tried modding up the Chromeline cars, still... the 787 is unrivalled. My fastest cars is the Skyline and my C63 AMG modded.. but in no way able to outrun the 787B. Suggestions on possible cars to beat it? I promise you it looked like he was doing 400km/h down the straight in Circuit De La Sarthe.

I think its unfortunate the stealth cars have a distinct performance
advantage over their regular counterparts. I can understand a custom livery, but being unbeatable solely because of having a different version of the game seems wrong. This is only my opinion.

Pick any of the cars SavageEvil listed, and any others you see like them from the Standard and Premium dealers. Modify them if needed and permitted. There is no way to beat an opponent's car that weighs about a third of yours and sits on more horsepower... unless your opponent was sitting right next to you and you killed them.

Get the Corvette (the expensive one) and race mod it. 370km/h is easy but my 787b Stealth has seen 395km/h

The 787B is going to destroy most cars. You will need a real race car to beat it on most tracks. The Audi TDI R10, The Minolta, Sauber Mercedes and several others will give it a good race as for the other stealth cars the Zonda R will handle them :)

BTW the 787B handles like a dream and the Veyron would have no chance at all unless it was a long drag race then maybe.

I hope it was doing 400, i've got one in my garage with 0 km on it. Just haven't bothered to drive it yet. :sly:

You can tune the normal versions to be equal or better than the stealth versions.

You can tune the normal versions to be equal or better than the stealth versions. They already have some mods from the get go that you can buy if you want.

they are initially slightly better because they come with some free upgrades, however the cars they are based on can be tuned higher, so they are actually worse than the regular cars.

Just go win the Like the Wind race in A-Spec the prize car will work nicely.

The GT-R GT500 is a rival for the 787B. I don't have the 787B but I have the GT500 (unmodified) and it's so dominant I don't even use it. I saw a comment that somebody was racing online in a maxxed 787B and got owned by a GT-R GT500 on the straight at Sarthe.

Of course this doesn't answer the OP because the GT500 is also a stealth car...

uhhh..

787B vs. R34 Skyline

Anyone else see a huge problem with this?

Its like taking a pitbull and tossing it in with a lion.

Funny thread this :dopey:

I wouldn't even hope got a GT500 GT-R to beat a 787B let alone a road car.

Yes the Skyline GT-R is godzilla, but the 787B is god (or Ultraman?:dopey:) in this case. :sly:

What is the prize car? Though, I'll definitly try it out. I have a few more races tonight. Hope I win that prize car, my trusted C63 AMG and R34 Skyline just cant hack it.

Problem is that the 787B is a Lemans Prototype car (or C-spec/class back then), it is the king at Circuit de la sarth, you're going to need a Le mans prototype car to be able to beat him. some advice though.

Standard Mclaren F1 will hit 220mph+ down the straight, a lot more with a draft, Nissan Fairlady 89 from dealership, tuned to 650bhp will do 230mph down there without a draft, more if you tune the gears right and get a draft.

Im sure with the right gear settings and some tuning you can get a car that will be able to do decent, but i cant expect you will find much to rival a LMP car at Le mans.
