Stealth Cars Not Working , PLEASE HELP

i just received my end of a deal, a code for all the stealth cars.

i live in australia and own a PAL version of the game, but the codes are asian. therefore, i created a hong kong account, and the codes worked fine.

but after i downloaded them and loaded up gt5 (doesnt matter which accounts) i do NOT receive the cars !?

was i doomed from the beginning, or is there something that i dont know about?
 
I think you need an Asian gamedisc... (And a NTSC PS3 system of course) Or something like that...
 
I think Asia is NTSC mate. You were right to create an Asian account to redeem the code, but the cars will probably only show up on an NTSC game disc. You can probably pick one up cheap on ebay. 👍

Edit: Asian PS3 is not a requirement as NTSC games play fine on my PAL PS3.
 
My guess is you need a HK disc. I'm NTSC I also have a HK account, but I use the HK disc with it. I do not have a HK PS3. :lol:

Just make sure you get a HK disc not an American NTSC disc it won't work.
 
I think you need an NTSC-J disc. Although your PS3's region is irrelevant.
 
The reason is that you have to download DLC from the same region that your game disc is from. The BLES codes are different on a Hong Kong GT5 disc to a AUS/PAL disc. If you want your cars to work you will have to buy the Asian version of GT5, or get the PAL DLC.

Australia uses PAL not NTSC, if we used NTSC I'd be the OP in this case as my PAL code would not have worked :lol:

Ähm, I think he bought NTSC codes (Asian). If he wants to use them he needs a NTSC system plus Asian gamedisc. Right?

It`s cheaper to sell the codes again and buy PAL codes... :sly:

If there isn't, there should be. It would save a lot of bother for many people.
Anyone care to put in the time to suss this out?

Indeed sir, atleast a NTSC disc to play but I don't think the save file will work so it's a lose-lose situation. Like you said, flog the NTSC ones on eBay and search for PAL codes.
 
from what I have read, on the asian version game descriptions by ebay sellers, you need create a hong kong psn account in order to download the dlc

All PS3 discs work on all PS3 systems.

The only things region locked are actually bought content from the Store, in that case, you would need the disc that matches the region the Store you downloaded from.
